Just wondering if any other bees are sensitive to sounds? Most sounds translate into noise for me and certain ones actually make my ears hurt. I just can’t concentrate or rest from the noise. It’s mostly loud vehicles and the tv going constantly that bothers me the most. Any others?

YES. I have some hearing loss that apparently makes the bass in music really annoying. Despite my partial deafness, I’m still super sensitive to the volume at which music is played. So dances, concerts, etc. make me pretty uncomfortable. It’s going to be an interesting reception for me. ;P
In random places in life, mechanical noises can really bother me. Garbage trucks are pretty horrible, along with some HVAC systems.

Yes. I tend to get overwhelmed by too much stimulus, so there are many times I just need to find a dim, quiet corner or somehow create that kind of space for me. If the tv has been on all day (sports), I may have enjoyed every minute of it, but I’ll still need some quiet time a half hour or so before bedtime to decompress.

Yes, I am sensitive to certain sounds as well. Sometimes, I need to go to a quiet space to get away from noise that’s bothering me. I get overstimulated fast.

I’m not sure if my hearing is damaged or not. I had an inner ear infection a while back but I was sensitive to noise long before that. I think I can only endure short periods of continuous stimulation. After about two hours of talking, shopping, or sounds, I’m done for a while. I also tend to get motion sickness fairly easy these days.

Yes. I don’t know what causes my sensitivity but I have it. Mine is so bad that I can NOT sleep without ear plugs. I feel like I hear everything that is going on. It sucks 🙁
