Is assigned seating/escort cards common in your area? Nobody around here does assigned seating, even at the big ol' country club weddings, so it wouldn't work for us. But if people in your area might expect it, a cute little sign might be a nice touch. :) Totally not necessary though, I'd think.
I think a sign would be really helpful, even if you only have a few guests that would be looking for escort cards or a chart.
You could do something fun and quirky like you mentioned or something as simple as: "please find a seat"
Not necessary, but a sweet touch! (plus I'm a sucker for signage)
I say simple and sweet rather than trying to come up with something quirky - sometimes those things seem forced.
A sign is always good... my boyfriend and I went to his roommates wedding and we spend about 5 minutes looking for an escort card table... no dice and we almost missed out on missing with the only people he knew there cause everyone was chosing seats helter-skelter.
Thank you, everyone!! The venue is so small that there is no way someone could miss a sign. I'll just make up something that looks normal. Hahaha. ; )

We're not doing assigned seating due to an odd reception area that is both inside and outside. Instead of escort cards (or guests looking around for escort cards), does anyone have any ideas for a sign that says something quirky, like grab a friend and find a seat or something like that?
