@DelilahDiamond:  We went to Kauai but it wasn’t a beach honeymoon at ALL!!!

If you like exploring or nature then I highly suggest it 🙂

We did rock climbing, hiking, kyaaking, and even got to go in a helicopter! I think we spent maybe 3 hours at the beach, DH hates the ocean. If you want to go to a city for your honeymoon then NYC would be a good idea but Chicago has a lot to offer as well. Maybe even New Orleans?

@DelilahDiamond:  We did a delayed honeymoon in Yosemite. lots of hiking and outdoors stuff during the day and sitting on the couch by the fireplace at night. Sort of unglamorous but it’s what we enjoy 🙂

What about rafting the Colorado River? It’s an amazing experience that I would recommend to absolutely everyone.

Drive down the west coast and camp along the way…it was one of the best trips my husband and I have ever taken! 🙂

Northern California! The weather here is generally good (but we have seaons, unlike sourthern california) and there is so much to see. San Francisco, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Muir Woods, Napa Valley – all wonderful places. Driving/camping up and down the coast is a fantastic idea as well. Parts of hwy 1 are gorgeous and there are lovely towns and places to camp along the way.

@DelilahDiamond:  We haven’t technically honeymooned yet but our favorite US non-beach vacations have been to driving from LA to San Francisco/Napa Valley, the Smokies, and Arches/Canyonlands in Utah. Oh yeah, and Yellowstone was awesome too! We tend to just keep it low-key when we’re on vacation but these places have the potential for some adventure too- another friend who also went to Arches said she had an incredible experience mountain biking there.

Happy planning!

@Payless:  We went to Kauai too and spent maybe one day at the beach out of the whole week! What an amazing place.

NYC is by far the coolest place to holiday. We aren’t beachy people either & we loved it. There is so much to do…I was never bored.

@DelilahDiamond:  we’ve been to NYC a ton of times and you will have a blast. So many awesome restaurants and shows and something’s always open. I haven’t travelled too much- more than my average co- worker but not worldly by any means. I wasn’t a Disney “fan” until I went there. So Vegas is number 1 hands down- so much fun/ best food/ best shows/ just awesome and I’m not the partying type. 2- Disney world  -I would rank NYC with my LA/ Malibu California trip 3rd And we just saw the beach it was more seeing iconic things- going to a taping- studio tour etc… California is beautiful- best trees I have ever seen:)
