I’m getting married in Brooklyn in September. My fiance and I were both raised Jewish though he’s not religious at all. We’re looking for a rabbi who would tailor our ceremony to our needs and be okay with omitting certain prayers and traditions. Anyone have any good recommendations?
Thanks so much!

@schwaby: Check out our rabbi. He is actually in Saratoga Springs, but he travels all the time. Rabbi Aryeh Alpern. He met with us for like 4 hours at his house and his wife made us delicious lunch. They are really great people. He used to be a conservative rabbi but now he is more progressive. He is a deep thinker but also funny and kind. Originally saw him at a friend’s wedding, then I rec’d him to my cousin based on that and they used him and then when I got engaged, I had to call him! Awesome ceremonies, lighthearted and unique to each couple. Give him a buzz 🙂

try interfaithfamily.com – those rabbis are likely to be a lot more laidback
