I’m working with caterers to finalize proposals in preparation for tastings. When I asked the coordinator at my venue for any tips, she said, “Be sure that all the fine details are stipulated in the proposal / contract — for instance, make sure that it’s stipulated that all the cups, glasses, etc. will be GLASS, even during cocktail hour. And be sure that the table linens they’re offering are the kind that drape to the floor, because that looks much nicer. Things like that.”
Problem is, I’d never thought of such details and so I’m quite bad at coming up with other “things like that”! Can any of you help a girl out by telling me the kinds of small details you wished to ensure your caterer provided, whether with the food, glass- and flatware, table linens, etc?
