Iv never been into strapless dresses as im short and think it makes me look shorter! so would love to see your non-strapless dresses ladies :)
One of mine is strapless, but will have a lace coat over top.

My reception dress is being created as I type! I am adding sleeves and whacking off the bottom to make it a swing dress (50's style!). As soon as it's done I will post pictures!
I should have thought of posting this before I bought my dress. I HATE strapless dresses. Could be that I have big boobs and they just never fit right. Here is my dress:)

@MASPA: I love yours. I meant to respond to your dress splurge thread!
Here's mine:
My "dress regret" dress that I sold (I still like the style, but it wasn't as nice in person and I decided against having so much dress on for my half-outdoors Vegas shindig) also was not strapless. Strapless is fine, and I tried on a couple that made it to the short list, but I wanted something more unique, and it seemed like 99% of the gowns on the racks were strapless. One shop owner told me that girls come in with lots of ideas, but she ends up selling the same A-line strapless dress all day every day.

Here are a couple more non-strapless dresses that I loved when I was doing my shopping. They aren't the latest lines b/c this was last year.

I was having such a hard time finding a dress with straps almost went with strapless but glad i kept looking here is mine and i love her

Mine is strapless, however I am having a lace overlay made for it similar to the one below which will be removable. In the pic there is a shawl (which I ordered for the seamstress to make the jacket out of) around me to give a small idea of what it will look like.

@stargurl101: Both are beautiful. I loved that Rosa Clara, but thought one might need Kate Moss arms to pull off.
I'm glad to see this thread! I don't know if this is just a uk thing, but everyone seems to have a strapless dress these days, so much so that every wedding I've been to I haven't noticed a difference lol.
However, since Kate Middleton got married I should imagine that may start changing. Not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing for me as on one hand I was thinking I might be a bit unique by having straps/sleeves but guess by next year it might be the other way round haha.
Here's another thread with lots more dresses-

@stargurl101: Oh wow, that lace off-the-shoulder is stunning!
I posted in the other thread, but I'll post here too because i'm shameless.
@Satu1717 my beautiful dress cant wait to see it finally set with my changes
Here's mine...please remember, I was not toned up and this is the sample that I purchased, so it's still too big/fits awkwardly, but I love it :-)

Here's mine, excuse the awful hair :)

I'm 5'4 and have DD busts so I went with a one shoulder. It seemed the most flattering.

halter top

illusion neck line
both corset back- didnt wear a bra- and the girls were reined in nicely
Here is mine. I tried on the strapless version of my dress but liked it better with sleeves. I love it!!

@zeynokiz: What a gorgeous dress! Who is it by?
I'm also short and wore a V-Neck Dress (you can kinda see it in my avatar). But here's a better picture:

@Erindesmar: You looked amazing in your dress!Your bouquet is to die for!!!
Mine was actually strapless and I had them add little cap sleeves to it.

They didn't stay in place during our dip in the ocean, but what can you expect.

Ladies all your dresses are beutiful! and Spoonie i know what you mean, here in Australia all the dresses are strapless too. So good to see lots of other dresses without straps!!!! thanks!!!!

I'm relatively small-breasted for the size of my chest (36" chest wall), so there ain't much up there to hold up a strapless dress. Thus...

@pfinarffle: Lovely dress! And you don't look "small-breasted" in it at all :)
Gosh, there are so many gorgeous dresses here. Makes me wish I could get married twice!! (To the same man, of course.)
@sarahbabs: Aw, thanks! It's all smoke and mirrors (ie the Sassybax Very Bare backless pushup bra). I'm a 38A if not 38AA. Wore a strapless dress to a formal once. Never again! The back of my gown had a very lowcut back. Too bad I don't have any photos of that or the beadwork and embroidery.
I'm really loving all the styles I'm seeing in this thread! Really unique designs that are all so beautiful! Makes you wish you could realistically wear several dresses on the big day!
@stargurl101:Pretty!
@LauraBenbow71:I love love love those sleeves!
@zeynokiz:wow! You look gorgeous! I love your gown:)
@Future MrsB:I love the back!
