Haha I just posted the same video like 10 minutes ago.. A friend sent it to me! I love it, but I don't think I'd ever be able to pull something like that off. But for those who have the guts, I say go for it!
That was great. I wouldn't do it (b/c I can't really dance) but I think I might send it to my bridal party as a joke and tell them that they better start practicing!!
The song is a bit on the long side unless you have a ton of attendants and/or a long aisle. Also, not many locations allow for the attendants to sneak to the back after reaching the altar area. But the concept of it is great. I'm all for non-traditional and they all look like they're having a fun time, even the two attendants who are slightly out of their comfort zone. I was reading comments on a few different sites where this is posted (including youtube) talking about disrespectful it is in a church but there is nothing sinful about dancing. It's refreshing to see that they aren't taking themselves seriously but yet they know how to be serious at the same time if you watch the very end of the video.
I would totally love to do something like that at our wedding.
I've been all over this idea-even before I saw the video yesterday. I'm kind of mad it came out actually LOL. I'm going to look like a biter.
I saw this today! We did a dance on the way out of a wedding I was in 6 years ago. Their theme was 50s Grease so they played We Go Together as the exit. It was fun and cute and made sense because it went with the theme. But I couldn't see doing something like this if the rest of the wedding didn't reflect it. Fun thought to watch!
Apparantly it's the headline story right now at yahoo.com and the caption says that the "congregation was shocked". That wasn't what I saw when I watched it. They looked like they enjoyed it, and being surprised when you are expecting something traditional and somber is not the same thing as being shocked. My guess is that someone at Yahoo who put the news spread together was offended and wanted everyone else to agree with their closed-minded-ness.
I think it was funny, but not something I'd do myself. I think it would be kind of funny to see at someone else's wedding, but I just wanted something a little more traditional. Personally, I'd save that kind of fun for the reception.
They had a big thing on the Today show about it today and Matt Lauer said the entire wedding party will be on tomorrow morning to re-enact the whole thing....I mean this is a cool idea but don't they have news to report on lol!?!
I wouldn't do it...it reminded me of a skit from college... :) But, it was cute for them...I was definitely laughing the entire time...
I would totally do this! Unfortunately for me, no one in my wedding party would. :(
Hahaha....my mom just sent this to me and I was going to post it on here. I think it's great, but I know we could never pull it off. My FI absolutely HATES to dance (he agreed that he would dance with me on our wedding day....once...but that's it) and my wedding party wouldn't do it either, I don't think. But if it fits your personality and party, I'd say go for it!
WOuldn't do it, but it is cute. Although I was surprised they did that in a CHURCH.
The Bible says that God likes dancing. Alot of churches have dancing as part of their regular worship. Unless someone belongs to a denomination that believes dancing is a sin, contrary to what the Bible teaches, then the fact that it's a church is moot. The pastor in the video didn't have any issues with it and it seems she would be the expert on appropriate vs not in a church.
What I thought was funny (as in 'are you kidding? really??") was reading comments on other sites about the video and alot of viewers claimed that the wedding party was actually having sex with each other down the aisle and that anyone else who didn't see it was either advocating such a practice or blind, which I certainly didn't see. But when people are judgemental, they'll say anything obviously.

What do you think of this idea? Would or could you do something like that?
Personally I find it entertaining but too long (though I might feel differently if knew the people involved), and I don't think I'd have the gumption to do it myself.
What say you?
