I am desperate to have music other than the norm, Cannon in D, Here Comes the Bride, etc. But we have an organist so whatever we pick has to sound good on that…here are some songs I’m tossing around so far. Will any of these sound good on the organ?
Love me Tender
Love theme from Romeo and Juliet
Can’t Help Falling in Love
I’d love to use, “I’ve just seen a face” by the Beatles but I don’t know how that could work.
I’m totally stumped on what the BM’s could walk to that isn’t Cannon in D and that will sound good on the organ.
We’re pretty set on using Joy to the World by Three Dog Night as our recessional and I think that will sound fine on the organ.
Any other thoughts?

I have been wondering the same thing so next week the woman who is playing the organ for us, we’re going to go over and play the non traditional songs I have on the organ and piano and see which sound better. I’m interested in using “Love Story” Tay-Tay, “I’m Yours” Jason Mraz and “Once upon a dream” from Sleeping Beauty. I’ll let you know how it goes! I found a great site for free sheet music too!

Oh yeah I was thinking of Sleeping Beauty too, add that to my list!

Oh can you please share where you found the free sheet music?

Hey – have some experience with this, so thought I’d second the idea of having the organist run through at least parts of the songs you’re thinking of. It’s likely that the way you’re imagining it will sound different than the actuality, so hearing it live will help immensely. Totally agree on non-traditional music, by the way.
