I was wondering if Born to be my Baby (instrumental) by Bon Jovi would be apprioate for my recessional. I wanted something that said something about us.

I think recessionals should be fun and celebratory, and that definitely fits the bill! The idea is for people to be smiling and clapping for you and I think that would make me smile. We are using "Signed, Sealed, Delivered", which is very much an "us" song.

I would just stay away from too contemporary or pop music for the entire ceremony, so this is your personal touch.

I say to go with something that fits the two of you - and the more fun the better!  I'm currently looking for my FUN recessional song, but don't have any ideas yet...

If it fits, it fits! And it would probably be a blast!

Yep do whatever you want! I think we're going with "All You Need is Love" by the Beatles.

Def! We're sticking with instrumentals for the earlier part of the ceremony, but the recessional will be to The Zombies' "This Will Be Our Year"... because, why not? :)

    Go for it!

We're using "All I Want Is You" by Barry Louis Polisar. We're trying to find a singer to emulate it now. :p

Our recessional song is Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins. You can do whatever you want to do! I'm walking down the aisle to Thank You for Loving Me by Bon Jovi - our first date was to a Bon Jovi concert. Our first dance is Bon Jovi too!

I think it should just be fun and peppy. I think we might do The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson. It's gotta be something upbeat for sure!

We are doing Signed Sealed Delivered (because I am a lawyer and am INSISTING that we actually sign the marriage license during the ceremony- so that the legal and religious wedding is at the same time)- so I think the song is perfect.

And we get to groove back down the aisle instead of just walk!!! and I love groovin!

I think the recessional is a great time to pick something happy and fun and unorthodox. And Bon Jovi is the shiz. I say go for it!

We're thinking of using "another one bites the dust". We're both 32 and grew up listening to that song and it's fun. I think it would really put everyone in a fun mood as they mosie on over to the cocktail hour (ceremony and reception are both on same site).

Signed, sealed and delivered would be cute too.

I think that it is great to have a fun recessional song..

We think we might do "Slide" by the Goo Goo Dolls (edit it a little though)

Recessional songs should say something about the couple, so if you like it, go for it. We walked down to "I'll Cover You" from RENT, but really wished we would have stuck with "To the End" by My Chemical Romance. It would have been more us if we had.

@Carrot Cake: What a lovely idea! I have been trying to think of things that we can use to take the place of a unity candle. I think this is a great idea, and will actually MEAN something to us.
