So I saw the cutest idea in a magazine for the ring pillow. Instead of the traditional pillow, get a stuffed-animal penguin, tie a ribbon around the neck, and attach the rings to the ribbon. I thought this was a fun idea, and could give the stuffed animal to our little ring bearer as a gift, after the ceremony.

I approached my fiance with this idea - feeling proud of myself for finding such a cute alternative to tradition. He however, did not seem as excited. Thought it was "maybe a bit tacky".

So my question is - What do you think? Tacky or cute?

It's cute and original. Some people think inside the box, it's "tacky" because they've never seen it before. If my groomsmen were wearing black tuxes, I would totally consider that. But, they are wearing brown so the penguine isn't quite as thematic.

Start shopping for penguines and see if you can find a high quality, non tacky one. Then look into some ribbon in your wedding colors...see what happens!

I think that it's very cute!  I love non-traditional aspects that people incorporate into their wedding.

OK Thanks ladies. Maybe he is just attached to certain traditions... At least I know someone else thinks it's a good idea and I'm not just crazy! haha

I'm doing the same thing!! I think it's very cute if I do say so myself :)  I work with Grizzly bears and wanted to incorporate my love of animals and my career- so I bought a really cute gb stuffed animal from the zoo's gift shop!! I'm super excited about it!!
