I’ve noticed most typical honeymoon destinations are in the tropics. Nothing against it at all but I cannot physically handle hot weather, humidity, and too much bright sun light (medical reasons) so sitting on a beach sounds like hell to me, LOL.
I’m curious as to what some of the other bees are doing for their honeymoon in more temperate climates.

We were going to go to France. Wound up revising our plans and now we’re going tropical, but France was the dream…

We went to Williamsburg, Virginia!

@CARA1978: I hate heat and humidity, so was at a loss as to where to go for our July honeymoon. We looked all over the world, and of all things, we ended up doing a road trip (8 hours) to Quebec City and Mont Tremblant in Canada. So many people thought that sounded weird or lame (especially since we got engaged in Paris), but we seriously had an amazing time. We stayed in the most ridiculous hotels, had a great mix of outdoor, city, country, and relaxing time along with amazing restaurants. I’m so glad we did that over a traditional honeymoon.

We’re headed to Lima, Peru, Machu Picchu, and Santiago, Chile. We may add a friend’s wedding in southern Brazil and Buenos Aires, Argentina, depending on how much vacation Fiance gets. No tropical beach lougning for us!

@MrsPaperFlowers: That sounds hot to me but I’ve only been to VA in the summer!
@whitums: That sounds great. I don’t see how that would be lame at all!

@ArtDecoDC: Santiago will be hot in February. Just an FYI.
I thought the OP was going to Santiago!!! Sorry about that. Santiago should be fun (and so is nearby Valparaiso/ Vina Del Mar)

@CARA1978: What about London? or Paris?

@CARA1978: We’re going to London. We’re both pasty white and sunburn just walking to the corner store, plus we both love London.

We’re doing San Francisco, wine country and then down highway 1 to Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur. Banff is super pretty as someone else mentioned.

We did a minimoon in Estes Park CO (Rocky Mtn National Park) and our big honeymoon in Asia – CHina, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, plus New Zealand). Malaysia and some of SE Asia is tropical, though. New Zealand is a dream and is mostly not tropical (only the very far north island chain off the north island is tropical).
Other amazing places i’ve been that are amazing: Iceland, Vancouver/British Columbia, most of Europe, anywhere in the southern 1/3 of South America – Patagonia is amazing!
