no fair. i like your plan of leaving at noon and spending your time on the 'bee. by the way i love your icon pic (or whatever it's called).
Can you send an email that says you were were confused when he left and said leave at three because at the party you said to take the day off? does he check email when he leaves the office?
Or state something to the effect that because of what he said at the party you made plans and you are sorry, but it didnt occur to you what he was talking about before he left, but that you are going to take the day off based on your original conversation?
I think im going to casually mention it to another attorney here (the boss below the boss) and say .. "he said i could leave at 3 but didnt he say we had the day off" hopefully he will then say "dont come in"
well see what happens!

During our work christmas party my boss said "you have friday off" but today when he was leaving and said he wouldnt be back until Monday he said "you dont have to stay the full day tomorrow, it will probably be slow you can leave at around 3" (im off at 5 every day)
whaaaaaa?!!
and of course my good for never sticking up for myself .. just said "ok"
now hes gone.. are you kidding me!?
I guess I will come in.. but leaving at noon!!
