So due to my period becoming irregular ever since starting on the pill, I didn’t want to risk being on during the wedding or honeymoon. So my doctor prescribed noresthisterone and recommended I start taking it about four days before the wedding, which would mean taking it in four days time.
However, I have now started my period today and my question is, what should I do regarding the tablets. I know they recommend you start taking them about three days before your period starts, but like I said, my period is so irregular at the moment that I dont know when it is due! I usually bleed for about a week, so would be finished by the wedding hopefully.
So I’m wondering if there are any medical bees or bees who have been in a similar situation or any bees with advice!

@FromA2B2013: I just found this:
Abnormal bleeding – 1 tablet three times a day for 10 days. Bleeding usually stops within 1-3 days. A period usually starts 2-4 days after stopping treatment.
I recommended just calling the doctor’s rooms to ask though. I have taken something similar when I had persistent bleeding on Implanon. You might be able to run the course of your period and have it all over by the wedding, but I guess we all know that our bodies do their own thing, which is usually the opposite of what we want! The tablets can have some side effects though (feeling dizzy, drowsy, amoung others), so just check with your doc whether it’s worthwhile taking them now it’s 8 days before your wedding.

@FromA2B2013: It doesn’t sound like you are going to need to take those pills at all, since you are having your period now and there is enough time between now and the wedding for it to go away. Unless you have a history of having periods longer than a week when you are stressed. I am a fan of keeping medication-taking to a minimum if possible!
