Thanks for replying, I completely forgot about this post (the responses went into spam). Right after I submitted this, we decided to wait another year to get married since we soon learned that getting married in the mountains in the fall was popular and time was running out. That was the best decision we made! Now we just signed a contract to get married at the NC Arboretum in October 2012. The place is beautiful and will help us stay w/in our $5k budget. Thank you for taking the time to reply and I will definitely be using this helpful site more often-

Hello; I am wondering if anyone can recommend any sites in the western part of North Carolina that offers fall season views at a non-venue location. We are interested in bringing the wedding to a site versus an official wedding site. We plan to go up there soon to drive around the back roads, so any information would be wonderful!
