North park all the way! Only because I’m from the Wexford.

from parties I have attended I do know you have to be done by sundown.

North and South Park are actually sunrise to midnight.

Section 9. Park Hours

  1. At North and South Parks, the Park Hours are from sunrise to midnight. At all other Parks, the Park Hours are from 8:00 AM until sundown.

That being said, I know nothing else about having a wedding there.  I just found this out when we were trying to find a rehearsal dinner venue.

I live near South Park so here are my recommendations:

Cottage – I’m pretty sure my aunt got married here in, like, the mid-90’s. It was pretty big and spacious with a stage at the one end. It’s nothing fancy (picnic style tables, etc). but you can decorate however you want and it’s one of the only shelters that’s indoors and has AC.

There’s also the concert site/ampitheater which is pretty pricey, but I think it’d be AWESOME. We actually considered it, but it was WAY over our budget.

Lastly is the gazebo, if you are having a smaller wedding and don’t mind being outside. The area is gorgeous and we are going to have our pictures taken here (our reception hall is about 5 minutes away). I’ve seen people have their ceremony here and then set up tents on the lawn across the street (I think you have to rent that property seperately though). Just one word of caution: the gazebo is actually in the “dog park” so more than likely there will be peopl walking their dogs/jogging if it’s a nice day. And while the grass/paths are usually pretty well maintained and clean, it IS a dog park, so …. beware of ….land mines. lol
