Hi All! This is my first post!
My fiance and I are planning our Chicago wedding from NYC and will be travelling to Chicago to visit venues in a few weeks.
Has anyone visited the Northerly Island Visitor’s Center (aka the old Meig’s Field terminal)? I can’t find too many pictures of the space set up for weddings and I would love to hear any feedback anyone has. We’re only having about 130 guests, so we wouldn’t be utilizing the tent option.

We visited it as an option for our wedding and nixed the idea. The builiding is old and needs a lot of work. The bathrooms inside reminded me of old school bathrooms and I could not imagine using them while in a wedding dress. The last thing was that the inside is actually very small inside. There are a lot of poles in the interior, meaning obstructed views for the guests, and some guests would have to be seated upstairs which means again they would not be able to see what was going on downstairs. It was for these reasons that we did not choose this venue. Sorry I don’t have better news for you! GL with your search!
