Weddingbee boards

Ok, So we are getting married in the Charlevoix, Petoskey, Mackinaw area and really really really want an outdoor wedding but we are having a really hard time trying to find a venue that doesn't charge an arm and a leg... any suggestions or does anyone know any of those "hidden gems"? There is such little information online and it's starting to get frustrated.

I know I mentioned something on the other post but check out the Headlands in Mack City. You can do your rentals from Parker's in Petoskey.

 Do you know if there is a guest limit, or do you just rent the area and then set it up as you like?

It's an Emmet County park and the website is pretty vague. Do you have an opportunity to go there before finalizing a venue? There are two houses for sleeping but it's more like dorm style lodging. Huge house with huge center living area with bedrooms off the side. The bedrooms looked like they slept about 8 or 10 people. 

Huge garden area that you can tent. The beach house (where the wedding/reception would be) is right on Lake Michigan. 

I have pictures if you want me to send them (empty house) and I can ask my brother for pictures of it with a wedding going on but I think the majority of the pictures will be of him and his punk friends. lol

Pictures would be great! I just wanna kind of get an idea of the layout and where tents would be. I looked at a website and yeah it is pretty vague...

We do have a chance to check it out. Both of our families live in Indian River (we are currently in East Lansing for school) so it should be pretty easy next time we head home.
