Burlington and farther north. Our reception will be in Franklin County, but it seems that most photographers are willing to drive within a 100 mile radius.
@vermontia: I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering who you decided to go with!
We are also in franklin county :) The top ones I can think of that take AMAZING pics are - Artistic Exposures photography... BirdieLou photography... Heather T imagery... and they are all in the price range you're looking for - did you pick a photographer yet ?
I think vermontia already found her photographer, but just in case others are looking for photographers:
We are using Northern Visions Photography - check them out at www.nvphoto.com or on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Northern-Visions-Photography/240115149404963
They're amazing photographers!!! They're really relaxed and have a great sense of humor! They take really beautiful photos and are totally willing to work with you if budget is a concern. :) If you end up using them, please let me know! I'd love referral credit. :D
hey, i used northern visions photography too! they took good pics..but NOT really creative... (we had to remind them to take pics of our rings, etc). if you like artistic shots or want their input on what will look good..don't expect much (i had great outgoing bridesmaids so we made it work). also, even though there were 2 of them, they missed some really important shots (ceremony musicians, parents of the bride/groom, reception decor). i agree, they have a great price though. make sure the contract you sign is the one they advertise, we were as laid back as they were when setting things up and they told us we would have a credit for photographs off the site they use, but turns out the contract they showed up with didn't mention that..we forgot until after. their editing was also kinda poor..a lot of the pics looked grainey after they edited them so it's a good thing my husband is good with photoshop because he fixed them all. IN GENERAL, not all that bad (reallly good price, 2 photographers (ALL DAY) lots of pics, they are professional/on time/dress appropriate, you get all the rights to the pics and all of them on a CD) , but i wanted to let others know what exactly to expect.
@Waydinyan: Thanks for your input and thoughts! I just sent you a private message with some questions about your experience with Northern Visions. :)

I'm having a hard time picking a photographer. I had a bit of sticker shock too. I didn't really think we'd need to pay $2000 for a photographer! Gulp. I found a couple cheaper ones that I like almost as well as the $2000 photographer, but I just don't trust my instincts. I don't really know what makes a good photographer! Anyone want to recommend their photographer in Northern Vermont who cost less than $1000?
