Me too!!! I am glad I am not the only one. I am ditching flowers for my wedding. Actually let me rephrase that, I am ditching flowers that look like real flowers (fake, silk, etc.). Instead, I'm using Mexican paper flowers. Then again my wedding is casual, backyard, fiesta so it will work.
Have you thought about using other things to walk down the aisle with instead of flowers? Like maybe a Spanish-style lace or wooden fan, a lantern, an old book/bible that's been in the family, something that will be more meaningful to you than flowers you won't really care about.
I'm using an old Spanish lace fan from my Grandma. I have fond memories of playing dress up with her fan and her cameo brooch (which I will also be using).
@baldor1: I did think about alternative ideas for the bouquets....but I like the look of the girls (and myself) walking down with them. I don't have any special attachments or sentimental value attached to anything else in my family so that idea wouldn't work....but your idea of the lace sounds beautiful :o)

You can do cool floral / organic bouquets in those rich colors that don't seem prissy, wedding-y or typical! Check out speckled lady slipper orchids, dahlias, chocolate cosmos, succulents (echevarias or hens and chickens), amaranthus, ornamental kale, thistle- I do have some cool pics along these lines that I have saved up for upcoming blog posts on unique bouquets, will pull and post some tomorrow!
If you really don't care about or want flowers, you could make something cool of feathers, etc instead too!

.....but I need some for my bouquets! I have been googling pictures of different types of wedding bouquets and they all seem so BORING!.
I am coming to you bees for some inspiration :o)
My main colors for the wedding are chocolate brown, green, and a deep purple (eggplant?). I would love to also incorporate a rustic orange - almost a reddish orange.
I hate roses.....Anyone come across any fabulous pictures they would like to share?
