So I am not a jewelry girl. I like to wear nice jewelry to compliment an outfit, but I never go ga-ga over it like I would a new pair of shoes. I just don’t really care. I see stuff that I think is pretty, but it never really moves me.
Anyway, I LOVE my engagement ring. I love it. It is beautiful. But it’s pretty uniquely shaped. I didn’t have high hopes for finding a wedding band that would go with it, and I didn’t really care. I was considering not wearing a wedding band at all. BUT, my fiance really wanted me to wear a band. So we went to an estate jewelry store (when I do like jewelry, it tends to be antique) and I found an AMAZING ring.
Some girls talk about “the moment” when they find their dress and they cry. I didn’t do that. I love my dress, but it didn’t make me cry. When I put this wedding band on, I had to choke back the tears. It is so beautiful. I can’t stop staring. And now, what you all clicked on this link for… pictures!
I LOVE the engraving detail. I can’t believe how beautiful it is. And the band is thin enough to sit under my oddly shaped e-ring:
What surprised you during your wedding planning? Anything you thought you wouldn’t care about that you suddenly did???

@Miss Camel: Thank you!
@FoolsintheRain: Great! It took me a year to find this baby. I spent a lot of time on e-bay and etsy, but couldn’t find anything quite right. Then, FI and I stopped by this antique jewelry store and there it was! I’m sure you’ll find yours, too!

Oh wow, I love your wedding band! It has such intricate detail!
When FI and I were planning out our whole wedding, we didn’t really think much of the hiring of an officiant. But the more weddings I went to where personal little tidbits were included in the ceremony, I was SO sold on getting an awesome and charismatic officiant to deliver our little personal stories. We ended up finding someone perfect for us, and I’m thrilled

wow, your wedding ring looks awesome on its own and also compliments your e-ring so well. i love how it fits right under the halo and ends right under the end of the halo (harder to describe that than i expected lol).
