Have you got a picture?

Of course, being engaged isn’t about the ring. But if you’re having doubts and you’re still within the return period, get yourselves to a jeweler and figure out what you do want ASAP while you can still change it if you want to.

Shrinkage will kick in soon, I’m sure. In the meantime, post a picture of the ring asking for honest opinions and the bees will tell you if it looks gaudy or not) or whether it’s worth a restocking fee to exchange it).

You will get accustomed to the size of the stone on your finger. In 5 years you will want a 2 ct…lol. Believe me on that! As for the setting, if you don’t like it, have it reset! You can do it with a local jeweler. I’m sure your FI IS tired of hearing about it – they want to buy it and be done with it. As long as he doesn’t mind, start looking around at new settings. You can set the old one with a cz or moissy for when you travel.

I think it’s beautiful, but if it’s not your style, maybe in a few years have it re-set.  Or bite the bullet and just pay the restocking fee and find something in-person that suits you.

Where is it from? I think it’s pretty but you have to love it!

Your ring is STUNNING! And once you’ve had it for a little, it will stop looking so big to you!

OMG…. PLEASE don’t complain about that beautiful ring. If you really dislike it that much… I’ll happily take it off of your hands!

I don’t think the ring looks too big at all! I’m not a fan of cathedral settings for solitaires because they look too…straight up and down, if you get what I’m saying. But I think the halo and shank go really well with the cathedral setting, and to me it doesn’t look clunky at all.

At the end of the day, you need to make the best decision for you and your SO. Good luck!
