I am also not the most sentimental and really, really don't like country music (no offense to people who do, it's just not my thing! :) ). Thanks for any help!!!
Here is a list of some great songs for Father-Daughter dances! You may find something there that fits!
My dad and I don't have the stereotypical relationship that a lot of the father-daughter dances seem to imply, and I'm thinking we'll probably do the Natalie & Nat King Cole version of Unforgettable. It seems very meaningful, but it doesn't have all the mushy stuff that many other songs talk about.
Also, could your dad do half the dance and your stepdad the other dance? Or if you want to do two dances, go on ahead. You may want your dances during dinner though so that your guests don't spend too much time doing nothing but stare at a couple dancing (you and groom, groom and mom, you and dad, you and stepdad), unless y'all could give the tv dancing shows a run for their money.
What about sharing a song between both dad. First with your stepfather who raised you and then with your biological father
"I hope you dance" by LeAnn Womack
The Way You Look Tonight" (Tony Bennett)
"I Get a Kick Out of You" (Frank Sinatra)
"Kind & Generous by Natalie Merchant
Songbird by Fleetwood Mac
Have your dj or bandleader invite all fathers and daughters to join you for the special dance about midway thru. It will take some of the attention away from the two of you and gives some dads a chance to dance with their daughters!
If you aren't close, don't pretend that you are on the dance floor. If you must have a dance, keep it generic. "I Hope You Dance" by LeeAnn Womack is a good example. Stay away from anything mushy like "My Girl" by the Temptations as it implies that you have a good relationship with him.
Walk with you, by edwin McCain, that's what I am doing, and I like it because I dont really get along with my dad
at all...
But I'm allowing him to take part in my wedding, trying to take the high road,
The song focuses more on how lucky your husband will be, and more on the day you were born, not as much of the life between you two. It has a little bit, but not overly close.

My friend had the same connundrum, she isn't terribley close with her dad, but didn't want to nix the tradition all together. Her DJ suggester "What a wonderfull World" (Louis Armstrong I think). The DJ said it's his "go to" short, sweet, meaningfull with no meaning song. I think it's only like 2.5 or 3 minutes long.

Anyone have some suggestions for songs to dance to with a father who you've only recently put aside your differences and become friends with? My father is a good man (and is helping pay for some of the wedding), but the typical (and even some of the atypical) songs out there just don't fit. We barely spoke for almost a decade and I was raised by my mom and stepdad, but he'd be devastated if we didn't dance...
I also wanted to know if it's ok to do 2 father/daughter dances, one with my bio dad and one with my stepdad (who I consider to be my dad in the real sense of the word)?
