So I am having a destination wedding in Florida and of course I have a wedding planning service that has been great, but she made one mistake. I clearly discussed having a sunset wedding with her so she gets back to me and says that according to the sunrise/sunset chart that sunset is at 7:11 pm so we schedule the ceremony to begin at 6 pm. Initially my Fiance and I had planned on it just being us and our son but changed our minds and have invited our immediate family. I sent invitiations with the time and everything. Well last week I got to thinking the sun doesn’t set until about 8 pm so the planner must have made a mistake. Sure enough I check the chart myself and it says to add an hour for daylight savings.
I wouldn’t have a problem changing the time but I think it would be tacky for me to call the guests to tell them that the time has changed besides my Fiance doesn’t want to do that he wants to stick with the time on the invites. I’m really trying hard not to let this bother me because I just want to get married, but I keep thinking to myself, I have paid them for a service that I’m not one hundred percent happy with.
What should/could I do?
