@alsgirl:  beautiful ring. Do you have your original ring or did you have to trade it in?

@alsgirl:  Thought of doing buth by putting a slightly larger sapphire into the setting in place of the centre stone?

I would also get it engraved. But, have you thought that maybe once you complete the set it will feel more sentimental? I find I have less attachment to my ring than my set (sooo weird I know!)

That’s a really pretty ring and the size looks good on your finger. It’s a pity about the whole kerfuffle with your original ring. I’ve seen some really nice rings where the centre stone is a sapphire and the surrounding are diamonds or you could have a diamond centre with little sapphires surrounding it. I love the idea of something other than diamonds like sapphires, etc.

@alsgirl:  that’s a shame. I think you should sit down with your FI and design it together, that way it’s more special to you. Engraving is a nice idea. Design a new setting and perhaps ask your FI to ‘surprise’ you with it

God, I love your ring.  Getting it engraved would be good but remember, if your weight fluctuates too much then your ring size might fluctuate and thus re-sizing would ruin any engraving.

I wouldn’t change a thing about it because it’s so beautiful.

@alsgirl:  I don’t have anything practical to say except that I love your ring! I love twisty micropave bands.

Oh, I just read my last post. I wasn’t suggesting your ring needs to be changed in any way, I was focussed on what you said about the possibility of sapphires. The idea of engraving is great too! My FI had my ring engraved and I just loved that he did, it’s so special and I wouldn’t change a thing about the whole ring.
