Not getting Crosshairs – what do you think?

I’m going to guess you O’d between 16-18.  CD19 seems too high, so that should be post O.  FF will not give you crosshairs on this because you missed so many days.  Basically, it judges O by analysing the temp dip plus 3 days of consecutive higher temps.  You coverline is based off the temps 6 days prior to O.  I’d speculate your coverline should be around 36.3.  If you had more data for CM, it’d be easier to pinpoint O date.  If you temp stays up for 10 days, you can probably start to POAS if you want.  Do you have a better chart from last cycle?  If so, you can determine your LP length and try to back track on this chart to determine O date, if you know how long your cycle usually lasts.

MsGinkgo:  Oh ok, gotcha!  The best advice I can give for temping is to try to take your temp at the same time everyday for more consistent charts.  Usually your LP (time between O & AF) will stay relatively the same so once you can figure that out, you should be able to predict O better.  For example, I know that my LP is about 13 days.  So on my usual 27 day cycle, O should be around CD 14…but if I O later, then I know that AF will be later than normal and my cycle will be longer.  Also, I’d suggest start tracking CM so you’re more aware of the changes in it throughout you cycle, and also your cervical position, if you want to do that.  That way when the time come to TTC you don’t spend your time second guessing yourself.

MsGinkgo: I agree with MissCountryGirl727: reckon you O’d between CD16 to 18. Come CD19 as it’s higher compared to the other temps, think it’s safe to say you’d O’d by then. I did the same as you, charted for 7 months before we TTC.

MsGinkgo:  Yes, you temp should dip, and then rise above the coverline.  The day it dips, indicates O.  So when TTC, you’ll have to figure out how to anticipate this so you can BD in the days leading up to O since charting will only confirm O after it has already happened.

MsGinkgo:  I had trouble remembering to temp when I first started. What I do now is set the thermometer right on top of my phone when I go to bed that way when the alarm goes off, the thermometer is there to remind me.

MsGinkgo:  It looks like you Oed but I’m not sure when! Maybe Cd16? Feel free to join the Charters of the Hive thread! Lots of support there for charting 🙂
