I’m having a small wedding and do not want to have a wedding party. I’ve told my family this and they think it’s fine. My grandmother and aunt think that sounds fine also, yet they somehow keep referring to my several young 2nd cousins as being a part of my wedding. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid…I have many cousins and if I include one, I must include them all. And then what if my fiance’s cousins feel like they should be included also?! I just want a small, simple wedding.
Gma and aunt say the cousins can just walk down the aisle and hold flowers and stand to the side…or something. This sounds like bridesmaids/junior bridesmaids to me! Even though I’ve expressed that my fiancé and I don’t want a wedding party, I am sure my grandmother and aunt are going to be offended if I don’t include my cousins!
Is there any way I can include them without actually putting them in the wedding? I hate feeling like I have to create a “job” for everyone as to not offend…
