So, if any of you remember i posted a few days ago about my future stepdaughter and MOH getting a huge tattoo that says GOD and some satanic symbol in the O. Anyways, she decided last night after her fitting, which i already paid $50 for, she doesn't want to be in the wedding anymore. Her friend that she wanted to impress with the tattoo had a falling out with her this week and he's not coming to the wedding and she's mad about that. Plus, she doesn't want to share a hotel room with her brother and her dad won't let her go sightseeing in Washington DC alone.....she just turned 18 a few months ago....so all these things combined make her not want to go and be in the wedding. We are not going to force her to be in it when she's been excited for the last few months. I feel like you give them what they want and handle them with kid gloves and this is what you get. I even had gotten over the tattoo issue.  Anyways, my question is, is it unheard of to have no attendents? She was the MOH and his son with the BM and we had no bridesmaids or groomsmen, just flower girl and ring bearer. Would it be weird to just have a flower girl and ringbearer? Anyone not having anyone else in their wedding party but the bride and groom?

No, it's not unheard of and it's not weird. We're technically not having a wedding party at all, considering we're no longer having a big wedding.

It's not weird, the wedding party can be whatever you want it to be. I don't really know any children in the right age groups, so I'm not going to be having a flower girl or a ring bearer.

not weird at all. fi has 3 GM and i had 1 (my sister). my sister kept throwing tantrums about little things and saying she didnt want to be in  the wedding if i didnt allow her to do things she wanted, etc. so we were gng to have 3 gm and 9 bm. thankfully shes grown up a little bit but for the longest time i considered no bridal party.... it sounds so STRESS FREE lol.

nope, not weird. in my (Argentine) culture we don't have attendants but FH likes the idea of it so we're having them. I would have been just as happy going sans though. sorry that she's acting out and causing drama again - hopefully someday she'll realize how big of a brat she is lol.
