Wow that takes willpower! I was too excited about it to keep it quiet but am trying to keep it a secret from most people. My mom and BMs came with me to pick it out. Then I showed my Future Mother-In-Law and FSILs. Plus my coworkers but they aren’t coming to the wedding and don’t know anyone who is so I thought it would be okay.

Yes, lol! I was so excited when I first got it I was willing to show it to everyone. Not a big deal to me.

I pretty much immediately sent a picture to my mom and grandma.  I would go nuts not being able to share it with someone.  πŸ™‚

Nope. Not showing anyone, they will have to wait. It won’t be much of entrance if everyone already knows what I’m wearing. It’s not like the celeb’s put out a post showing everyone what they are going to wear before they go on the red carpet. This is as close as I am going to get to being on the red carpet so I’m going to treat it the same. Lol.

I’ve been thinking about doing this. I aam living away from family and friends- I’ve sent some “contender” photos to friends so they feel included but I think only one or two people will actually see my dress before the big day. I too want it to be a big surprise. Like BAM Here I a. πŸ™‚

I’m having mine custom made and it’s going to be in color. I don’t plan to show anyone because I don’t want them raining on my parade or trying to talk me out of it. There are a lot of traditionalists in our families who would be aghast at the idea of a non-white dress. I actually kind of really want my photog to grab a pic of my mom and bm’s faces when I unzip the garment bag and my lovely colorful dress is revealed. I’m sure their expressions will be priceless πŸ˜›

Haven’t bought mine yet, but I have shown people the pictures of the dresses I have tried on. In hindsight, I wish I hadn’t and probably will try to hide it when I pick the actual dress.

However, I am an over sharer when it comes to things like this lol. Although I barely recognize the dress in the dark cell phone picture, and it is huge, and all that. So anyone who has seen it probably won’t recognize it or remember it anyway lol.

Nope! Only my mom and a few of my bridesmaids have seen it.

I won’t even let my mom tell any of my aunts or anything what it LOOKS like, much less pictures. πŸ˜›

I didn’t want anyone but the people who came with me to see it. Well, that didn’t happen. I had to send one bridesmaid a pic cuz she wasn’t there and she showed her mom. My mom also showed it to people. I sent my Future Mother-In-Law a pic cuz she was supposed to come shopping with me an I wanted her to be involved…she then showed everyone in her family over Thanksgiving. Of course I told them not to show anyone, it was just a little too late. Oh well, hopefully they’ll forget and I’m not showing anyone else!!

Me, too! I won’t be showing anyone my dress either because I want it to be a surprise to everyone. Two of my Future In-Laws saw it because they kept me company at the dress appointment and I couldn’t showing texting it to my two BFFs but that’s it! It’s been hard not showing it to everyone.

@HeyKaraoke:  I’m in a similar boat. My fiance has some very traditional family members, so I’m not sure how they’d cope knowing I’m wearing a dress with colour (even though most of it is ivory!), so I’m not interested in bringing on any dress regret by showing them and being told I “can’t wear something like that to a wedding.”
