@babybuzz:  Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but sleep doesn’t come easy in pregnancy! I didn’t sleep well during the 1st trimester either. I woke up a lot, had vivid dreams and nightmares and tossed and turned, and got up to pee about 3 times per night. Oh, I had hands/feet that would fall asleep. Luckily, at the end of the 1st trimester, early 2nd trimester I did sleep a little better. But the 2nd half of my 2nd trimester (I’m 28 weeks today-start of the 3rd), I haven’t slept well at all again. Now it is due to my uncomfy big belly and still getting up 2-3 times per night to pee. Hang in there. I survived the 1st trimester by taking naps right after work and on weekends. Basically, whenever I could squeeze a nap in. That helped a bit!
