Im getting married in Key Largo Florida on a beautiful private beach estate. Although we will have an outdoor wedding and reception on the sand, im not into beach themed decor/themes like sea shells, anchors, etc etc. Im going to let the beach surroundings be my “beachy decor” and my actual theme is going to be more glamours invluding floor length gold sequined table linens on my head and cake table. Its going to be beach meets glamour all the way. Just because its taking place on the beach doesnt mean it cant be on the more formal/semi formal side of things.

Our ceremony is on the beach next weekend and I have a very traditional gown. Lace and tulle with a chapel train. Will post pictures once I have some.

MissyDear:

I work in Florida as a dress consultant so I deal with beach brides a lot! We have a few dresses in the store that seem super popular with my beach brides who still want a traditional dress (because they are all still fairly light). They are popular designers and should be super easy to find in San Diego.

I went for the full on wedding gown. I would’ve worn the same dress regardless whether I’d done it at home or in Mexico in the beach. This was me in Mexico.

MissyDear:

I would really suggest using the store finder option on the Da Vinci site to find a shop near you. The great thing about the Davinci dress is while most lace dresses are lined with satin making it heavy and hot the Davinci dress is lined with charmeuse which is insanely light so you could walk through the sand with no worries.
