- Wedding: October 2014
Had my shower recenty- it was so wonderful. I got some lovely gifts, and luckily, no doubles!! A few people who couldn’t make it to my shower shipped the gifts to my house just after. I’m registered at Macy’s, so to cross reference the list my BMs kept of gifts, I took a look at the Thank You manager. I’m crazy about ensuring accurate Thank You notes! I noticed that one guest who wasn’t there but shipped gifts bought me a bunch of things, including the flutes and cake knife set to use on wedding day..however, she didn’t send it with the other gifts. I sort of need those for wedding day but I’m nervous she didn’t think of that and is going to give them to Fiance and I as a wedding present. I have some time so I wanted to wait a bit before making any decisions, but what should I do about this? Buy new flutes/knife for the day, and return hers after? Do I say something? I don’t want to come off rude or ungrateful at all- she really got me a lot of wonderful things. I asked a friend about this and she seemed to think it was common knowledge that that sorta stuff is obviously for wedding day and I should have it before… curious on all of your takes on this. Thanks!
