This is my dress (it’s yet to be steamed so looks a little wrinkled) Do you think I should wear a necklace with it and if so, which type? I have earrings and a very fine bracelet which I love and a dress ring for my other hand but I have no idea about a necklace. Should I not wear one at all? I don’t want to feel too plain but I definitly don’t want to be over done. My mother has already told me she hates my dress which has made me feel really self conscience about everything now. I’m also not wearing anything in my hair, I have a veil which will be coming off after the ceremony.
What do you think?
Thank you xx

I think that you could definitely put on a chunky, gem-filled neckalace once you lose the veil after the ceremony.
I think with earrings, bracelet, ring & veil, a necklace will bee too much (depending on the style, of course)
Once you remove your veil after the ceremony, throw on a fun, bingy necklace for a statement as you guys enter into the reception!

Scarletta: I don’t think you need a necklace, especially if you plan on wearing bigger earrings (I can totally see gorgeous chandelier earrings with your dress). I think those and a bracelet are quite enough.
Oh, and your dress is beautiful, you look perfect in it! It’s a tricky silhouette but you totally pull it off, you have an amazing shape. Nevermind your mother, mothers hardly ever like mermaid dresses! I think it’s an age thing really. Don’t worry, you’ll be a gorgeous bride.

It looks like you have beading on top? If so, I would skip the necklace and go with earrings and a headpiece.
That dress is beautiful and looks sooo good on you–you look amazing!!

I would do earrings and no necklace, especially with the beaded detail on the bodice…and I’m sorry your mother is being so negative to you, you look absolutely stunning in your dress!

I would probably wear a necklace, but I think it would look fine either way.
