I’m getting married October 2011 and wearing wedding dress Casablanca 1900. It’s beautiful! Very lacy, sparkly, and feminine. My problem is I don’t know what to put on my head. I keep changing my mind…one minute I like a mantilla veil, the next I think just a cathedral length thin sheer veil would look better. I’m also playing with the idea of a flower in my hair for the reception. I’m very “fashion challenged” lol and need some advice please 🙂 Here’s a link to my dress
Also, I’m 5 ft. tall and wearing 2″ heels….not sure if that makes a difference.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I think a mantilla veil would look good with it

gorgeous gown! Honestly, it’s your call. My gown had a lot of lace and feminine detail and I decided to go with a mantilla even though ppl thought it might be too much.

Beeautiful gown! I’d personally prefer the simple single tier cathedral veil since your dress already has so much detail and lace. You could add a poll and let people vote…it would be an easy way to tally opinions 🙂

I am fashioned challenged as well and I am not sure what I am going to do about a veil. Since I am not having a fancy/formal wedding, I think a Cathedral length veil will be too much, same with a mantilla veil. I am thinking of going with a fingertip veil with my gown which has a chapel length train.

I think a waltz length veil would nicely balance out the empire shape of the dress.

I like the idea of a mantilla as well. You could do something with a more petit lace edge so as not to compete with the dress but rather compliment it. I think a cathedral length would be too much personally. I also am likely to switch to a flower accent for the reception as well. Can you try out some different veils at the store with the dress on so as to get an idea of what you like better?
Good luck! Your dress is beautiful!
