former BM H has made her decision. She texted me saying she hasnt been able to sleep since sunday and that she is just going to back out of mine and hope i dont hate her.

i forwarded it to my mom and she flew off the handle... which made me realise that August 7th is about me and FI and whoever wants to and is able to share it with us.

Well, I'm glad that your FI stood up and said no to changing the date. I think that the 15-20 people who are on both lists will probably know which one is going to be better and most will likely choose yours or at least manage to split their time so that they can fit both in. I wouldn't stress about it, simply because you'll have a great time either way.

OMG I am so sorry you are going through this. Since YOU planned this date and time first.. YOU shouldnt change anything. I think it is really crappy that your cousin didnt check with you first, but in the end babe your wedding is about you and your FI. Yes I totally agree it sucks these people are pulling out of your wedding after they already made the commitment.. but why would you want people at your wedding who didnt want to be there anyways?

but wait... are the bridesmaids you asked and who agreed to be in your wedding ditching you for hers? I wouldnt want those ppl as BMs anywho!!!!

OR you can simply "move" your wedding to that new date... and just be classier

Personally, I would have my wedding anyway...

Okay, I just read everything. I kinda feel like she did do it on purpose. Regardless you go ahead as planned and try not to worry with her... its just not worth it. And to your cousin who backed out... why?!?

Also, I would just remain nice to her, don't hate her it will make her feel worse.

Enjoy your day. It sounds like you put a lot of work and effort into it!

I have to also agree with CurlyDreamer. If there is any negativity at all, that is just going to make matters that much worse. If she did do it in spite, that just shows how much karma is going to be a b****. Although, that favorable option, the drowning the field, is so hilarious. I know that things look really bad, but 20 overlapping guests really isn't all that horrible. I know you will have to pay for the extra place settings for the people that didn't show, but just know that in the end, the day is all about you and your FI, and the vows that the two of you will share. Don't let her win by thinking negatively, or you won't have as good of a day if all your efforts and energies and wasted on her.
