the last two I went to didn't have straight aisles. I don't think its a big deal, no one's going to focus on the shape of your aisle when you're walking down it.
I actually think it's kinda cool that you aren't walking in a straight line. It's very fun and original and definitely not something I have seen before. You could still do an isle runner, you may just have to break it up into smaller peices rather than one long piece in order to make it curve to follow the aisle.
Not gonna lie, I kinda want to walk down a Z shaped aisle now! :)
Now that you made me think of it - most weddings I have been too outside of a church brides haven't had a straight aisle!

I don't think it will be strange at all. In fact, I saw this pic yesterday of a different type aisle and thought it was amazing!

My "aisle" wasn't straight either. I really didn't even have an aisle until the end of my walk when I got to the seating part. It was no big deal. In fact, it wasn't a deal at all.
Thank's Bee's. I drew a sketch but I let a friend borrow my camera.
What do you think of guests sitting at tables during the ceromony?
one bee just posted her wedding pics and she had guests at tables and it was a big worry but turned out to be nothing but a beautiful ceremony with lots of smiling faces
@AirForceWife78: Super cool!
@luvmyDwight: As for the guests sitting at tables during the ceremony; I'd be a happy guest as long as had a clear view of the action. As long as I can see ok, it wouldn't matter where I sat! :)
@cwat12: Do you remember who that was?
@Juliepants: I am hoping that because I have to zig zag thru tables that everyone will get to see me.

Have any of you been to a wedding where the aisel wasn't a straight line?
My wedding and reception is in a huge back yard with approx 200-250 guests.
I met with my florist and decorator there yesterday to lay out plans.
They suggested that we have the guests sitting at the tables and have about 40 chairs lined up at the front for family and close friends. the chairs up front will be reserved but the tables will be open seating. The reason for this is because of where the dance floor should be and the guest house where I am getting ready and coming out of. I am going to have to walk in a kind of a Z pattern.
This seems really weird to me and I really want to have an aisle runner. Thoughts?
I have to go now but will post a sketch in a few hours
