And I agree, with that shade of red and the slim silhouette I think it still gives the EFFECT of a Chinese dress enough that it should hopefully keep your mom happy. :-) It's GORGEOUS!!
I love the color and the back fo the dress! The print reminds me more of a kimono that a cheongsam or qipao. I think it looks fabulous on you but I'd like some kind of mandarin collar to make it look more "chinese". But that's just my opinion.

It's very pretty, but the fabric looks more Japanese than Chinese. Is it a print or embroidered?
I agree that it looks a bit more Japanese.
I love the train and the skirt of the dress but I am not sure how I feel about the bodice and the neckline.
Looks like your not a traditional gal, but if its what you want be strong go for it!
I think red may be better than green as well if you feel confident enough

What do you think? I really wanted something different from the regular chinese dresses. I have another in green. (my mom will probably kill me..)
