Less than 2 months to go and im struggling with music. would be gretful for some ideas. I’m looking for different things not the normal. i have found a few songs, and hopefully it will help with what kind i’m going for, i want something that will make people smile and think i never would of thought of that song, not something people will think this is such a wedding song. Both Dear Fiance and myself are pretty easy going and have a good sense of humour. If your in Australia we ar eTriple J listeners, if not it’s more indi not your normal poppy stuff.
Walking down the isle ill be going down to Lana Del Reys Summertime Sadness instrumental
Our first dance is going to be ‘nothing else matters” by Metallica
We were going to go for ‘highway to hell’ for the recessional but my dad was not a fan. We both liked it. good for a giggle.
I’m happy for the songs to be new and old, just something different.

My FH and I are not going with the typical music either. Here is what we have figured out so far.
Last song before the entrances begin- Somebody’s Getting Married – The Muppets (I’m an artist and a HUGE Jim Henson fan)
Bridal party processional – “These Are The Days” by Van Morrison
Bridal Entrance – still undecided and would love to here some ideas.
During the ceremony – Grow Old Along With Me by John Lennon
Recessional – Mint Car by The Cure
Our First Dance is likely to be In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel…it was the first song he played for me when we first started dating.
My father daughter dance will be different then most because my dad passed away when I was a baby, so I’m giving a short thank you speech to all the family that stepped in to fill his shoes and then dancing with 4 of the biggest “shoe fillers”, My grandpa, 2 Uncles and Mom. We have this narrowed down to either Bruce Springsteen’s “When you need me”, Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings or Natalie merchants “kind and Generous” or a Medley of songs that I’ll be mixing together myself that say how I feel about each of them.
