Ugh, that sucks!  Luckily banks are pretty good about giving your money right back while the investigation is going on.  I had 4k swiped from my unused bank account once over 2 months before they finally notified me.. you know… cause suddenly repeat transations in Brazil of all places didn’t look suspicious at all.

@Barbiestylez:  Yikes! Glad to hear the bank is dealing with this for you.

Yesterday, I was thinking something similar — nothing says Merry Christmas like having to pay the plumber almost $400. Boo.

@Barbiestylez:  Sorry to hear about that! Glad it’s getting straightened out with your bank. So weird, I was just watching the news about the breach of credit card info/accounts for Target customers! I think they said about 4 million people got their info stolen!

That sucks.  Glad to hear it is all getting sorted !!

To @Brielle:  sorry to hear that.

Lol, don’t say it out loud tho while in the house … Mr TTR & I are sure that Appliances etc talk to one another, and if one gets jealous that another got too much attention… then they’ll play the same so they too can enjoy a visit from a Repair Person

@NYCkindaBee:  I read earlier today it was 40 million.  Maybe that was a typo, but if it’s true that all of thier stores info got hacked, then 40 million sounds more accurate.

I was sorta of freaking out about that- we shop at Target ALL THE TIME.

We almost always use our Target debit card- and you need a PIN for that.  So I’m hoping that hacked info didn’t include PIN numbers for Target debit cards!!

@NYCkindaBee:   it was actually FORTY million, not four. We do a lot of shopping at Target, so I think I’ll have to cancel our 2 debit and 1 credit card. Ugh.

Edit: just saw your correction… Great minds. 😉

Ugh, that sucks. I’ve had that happen to me twice now. The last time, someone in Florida went to a Best Buy and a Walmart and charged over $300 at each. So annoying because for me to get my money back, I had to go to the bank and file a claim, and then waited almost two before the bank got the money back into my account (it was my debit card so actual money was taken, it wasn’t just a charge on a credit card). So annoying.

That just happened to my uncle, and when he went to the bank to get his replacement card the teller said he was the 6th guy that day that it had happened to. Some hackers have been on a spree!
