What do you all have planned? Are you leaving right after, soon after or later on? I'm in the middle of getting ready to buy our plane tickets so I thought I'd ask you guys where you are planning on going!
My wedding date is Nov. 19th so we are waiting to leave until after Thanksgiving. Originally I had said to fi that I wouldn't mind being away for the holiday since its a lot of running around but he told me he thinks we'll need a honeymoon even more after thanksgiving lol which is probably true, so we are leaving on sat. nov 26 and we are going to montego bay Jamaica, specifically Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. Where are you going? When is your wedding and when are you thinking about leaving?
@lisey16: I wish we could have a vacation after thanksgiving; the holidays with his family are CRAZY! (my family lives 5 hours away so we are mostly with his). We are getting married November 12th and we are leaving the 13th for Disney World!! I literally just finished booking it! :D
We're waiting until February, I think. Right now we're leaning towards Costa Rica.
We are getting married on Nov 13. and leaving for Italy on the 14. We're planning for 2 weeks, so no Thanksgiving for us this year, or maybe we'll find some turkey in Italy. :)
@Sah: Yah, I was so excited after we booked our honeymoon! Disney World sounds great!

We're getting married November 12th and we're leaving on the 13th for a cruise! We're getting married in Miami (my home town) and though it wasn't our first choice it made the most sense to do a cruise. I cruised a bunch with my parents when I was younger so my fiance gets to take advantage of the rewards perks I'll get us! We're going to just stay down in Miami after we get back to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. (Thank goodness I'm able to save up enough vacation time. It's just not fun to take NO vacation days during the rest of the year while I'm saving my time!)
We're getting married on the 12th, but due to his job (and Thanksgiving) we can't leave for our honeymoon until the 29th of November. But we're spending one week in Paris and one week in Rome, so it makes up for having to wait a couple weeks to go, lol.
We are getting married Nov 5. And we leave on Nov 19th and will be gone for 10 days and are going to Jamaica. We are going to the Couples Resort Sans Souci and can't wait. We booked about a month ago and we are glad we did, because the prices have jumpes since. Espceically airfare with the gas prices having gone up.
We are getting married November 5 and we are leaving November 17 to go on a cruise to St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Haiti for 10 days. I can't WAIT! The wait between the wedding and honeymoon will suck...especially while im at work..but it will be so worth it! We'll have something else to look forward to!
I think we're going to go to the Dominican Republic, but the tickets aren't bought yet. We went for my birthday in January and both had a really great time :) We're thinking of trying the The Royal Suites Turquesa by Palladium.
We wanted a sun destination, and we didn't want to go anywhere with excessive crime.
We're going to leave a week later, because we want to be able to arrive at the honeymoon rested instead of sleep deprived and hungover, we didn't want to have to add 'pack' to the list of things to do before the wedding, and also wanted to have some time to see guests who flew in for the wedding.
We're minimooning in Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 5 days at the cutest little resort. It's about 2 hours south of where we live & we'll leave 2 days after the wedding so we can gather ourselves (plus not worry about packing until then, haha!).
We're debating between Italy and the St. Lucia or St. John's. I'm kinda freaking out that we haven't booked anything yet but he's not worried.
How far in advance should a honeymoon be booked?
I'm not sure how far in advance a honeymoon should be booked but we booked ours now because the flight prices are lower (already went up since buying our tickets) and my FI's aunt is a DVC member down in Disney so she booked our room! We are leaving the day after and not worried about being tired or anything. Our reception will be finished by 4pm so we can go back to my FIL's to meet up with the out of town guests and just relax. Then we shall go home do what we have to do and wake up bright and early the next morning! :D
We are going on a Carribean Cruise we live near galavston (45 mins away with no traffic) so we dont have to fly so it was the cheapest route for us. Wedding is on 11-11 and our honey moon is 15 days later on 11-27. I think it is perfect i get to spend some time with my family that i havent seen in a while so i am excited and dont have to rush off to a honey moon!
We're getting married on Nov 5th, and leaving the 11th for a week in Aruba! We were thinking the time between will give us a few days to relax, send off all our out of town guests, and packed without feeling rushed. Excited!
We're thinking of Costa Rica. We're climbers, so I REALLY want to go to Venezuela, but there's travel advisories all over about going there right now so FI nixed that idea. We also don't want to lose too much time traveling so no Europe/Asia.

We are getting married on 11/11/11/ and heading to the Dominican Republic at the Secrets Cap Cana all inclusive resort....getting out of Michigan will be fabulous in November! Happy Planning girls!
Bahamas! We're staying 3 nights at The Royal bahamian Sandals resort and 3 nights in Atlantis! I can't wait!!!
We are going to Gatlinburg, TN straight from the reception. So excited!
The Honeymoon has been booked! I know we're going to Costa Rica, but that is all I know. I want it to be a surprise, but more importantly, with school, work, and a wedding, I'd like to have something to NOT worry about!
We are going on a 7-day cruise in the south Caribbean that leaves Nov 13....so excited!! We lOve cruising :)
We're getting married on the 12th in Massachusetts and leaving November 14th for 9 days in the Caribbean, coming back the day before Thanksgiving. Works out nicely to come back and have 4 days to recover from everything before we have to go back to work.
We're going to spend 4 nights in Bahamas right after the wedding... and then 4-6 months later we're doing another vacation... 7 days in Mexico.
we're getting married 11/26/11 and leaving 12/3/11 for our catameran cruise through the BVIs. right now we are trying to decide if we want to leave a few days early and stay at a resort at St. Thomas before the cruise.
@Lifecoachtraci: I've been to St. Thomas, it's a pretty little island. If you do stay at a resort there, make sure you take the ferry over to St. Johns. They have beautiful beaches!
We are getting married November 19th.. honeymoon starts November 21st for 6 nights in St. Lucia! Cannot wait!
I'm sure you already have your honeymoon squared away, but I still want to share! We're going to Belize, from the 18th til the 26th! Married on the 4th! We're actually going to this little spot right here:

Getting married on November 12th 2011 in Sydney, Australia and honeymooning in the states - LA, Vegas and New York from the 3rd-14th December. We're waiting a little bit so we can experience New York a bit closer to christmas time

We are getting married in Las Vegas November 5th, 2011 and flying right from there to hawaii for our honeymoon.
Getting married 11-11-11 - leaving for FL on 11-12 and not coming back until 11-24 (Thanksgiving). We are spending 2 nights in Clearwater Beach and the rest in Orlando.
We had timeshare points that had to be used by the end of the year so FL it is. We are thinking Panama Canal Cruise for our 1 year anniversary :)
I am having a DW in Maui, so we are staying there for 2 weeks for our honeymoon :)

We are staying at the Treasure Island in a suite! Should be lots of fun!!
We are leaving right after Thanksgiving to go to Hawaii for five days four nights. His parents are giving it to us as a gift and I just found out yesterday. SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!
Getting married in Florida , spending our first night together on a hotel on the beach. Eventually making our way to Argentina for the honeymoon :)
