We really didn’t start planning until a few weeks ago. Anything not listed is not done yet, yikes! We are also in the process of planning a cross country move that will take place the first week in July. We are moving to where the wedding will take place, so I probably won’t do a lot of things like cake, rehearsal dinner venue, actually discussing floral arrangements, planning ceremony, etc until then.

Things I have done:

Reserved the church

Reception Venue (FILs house)

Florist (FIL family friend)

Deposit for the photographer

Purchased my dress

Save the Dates – mailing today!

Reserved hotel blocks – just waiting on final proposals

Sent inquiries to caterers

Sent inquiry to band

Purchased a cake topper

Picked out Bridesmaid dresses

Found hair/makeup – need to email Bridesmaids to see who wants services in order to complete contract

I like this thread because it helps me figure out exactly where I am:

Things done:

Venue (comes with catering and cake), Photog, Dress, Florist, Chairs and linens rental, bus rental, hotel blocks, bridesmaids dresses, DJ, Save the Dates, booked DOC- ETA wedding bands!

In Progress:

Invites (I’m making them), Welcome bags, centerpieces and table numbers, sent hair inquiries, booking our rooms and where I’m getting ready, Honeymoon

Need to do:

Make table runners, escort cards and table, rograms and menus, rehearsal, welcome reception, Sunday brunch

Hmmmm this certainly makes me feel like I have a lot on my plate 🙂

Just bought my dress from Recycled Bride!!  The David’s Bridal SV414- The Aline covered in Rosettes.  I’m so excited- it is still new in shipping bag, and I saved $500 (including shipping!).  That’s a big score for a girl on a budget who is expecting 200 guests on a Saturday evening.

I took care of the menu yesterday- We’ve opted to go “Family Style,” instead of a cocktail reception, which means I’ve added a seating chart to the list!

Hi!  I’m actually not far from Tyler 🙂

I’m glad I found this board, because I had no idea if I was “on schedule” with my to-dos!  This is what I have done so far:

booked the venue (this is very important, because they are all-inclusive!  all I have to worry about are the small details)

planned out my DIY projects

taken my e-pics

picked out my STD, but I am waiting for my disc of e-pics to come in (did I ever mention I HATE waiting… Haha)

finalized the guest list (I am only missing one address!)

this Friday I go and try on wedding dresses, and I’m about 100% sure I will find something I love

oh… And I’m having a very small wedding and no wedding party… This definitely helps my stress level also.  The only thing I will be dealing with is random people asking “why wasn’t I invited?!”
