@carolinatarheel: I hear ya! I love the fall but not so crazy about fall colours.. and also don't want to slide into winter/Christmas colours too early. I'm going with eggplant and charcoal - I'm going to add some lilac to the flowers and some silver accents for a bit of dimension.
Good luck!
@carolinatarheel: Do whatever you like! I really don't like traditional fall colors either, so I had a vintage garden-themed outdoor wedding with touches of blush, gold, ivory, gray, champagne, and sage green. Everyone said it looked beautiful, and I think the color palette was soft enough that no one was thinking about what season it was. Here's a couple photos to give you an idea:

@Mrs. Wallaby: I love that! I am getting married at a barn so the vintage feel works great. Definitely keeping this in mind. Thanks so much for your help!
@carolinatarheel: Sure, no prob girl. Also, spend some time on http://theperfectpalette.com/ - it'll give you tons of color ideas!
@carolinatarheel: my colors are definitely NOT fall colors, but we are getting married on the beach in Hawaii. I say WHO CARES if they are not fall colors?? Do what you want!
My colors aren't fall colors either. We are having a 'final fantasy' inspired wedding (no, we're not dressing up in cosplay or anything, lol). Just using it for inspiration and ideas so right now we're looking at white, different shades of blue/purple, and silver.

@Mrs. Wallaby: Those are the exact colors I'm planning for my wedding! I'm so glad to see it in real wedding pics. It looks lovely together. Great minds think alike!
I'm getting married the first weekend of november, and our colors are going to be a nice deep blue contrasting against sunflowers/yellow.
We're doing aquamarine and red. I don't think they're "traditional" fall colors, but I don't care. His favorite color is red, and mine is blue, and I think they're bright and fun.
I struggled with colors for awhile, because my favorite color is red and his is green, but we didn't want it to be Christmasy. I also wanted an autumn-inspired color scheme, but no orange. I'm more a fan of leaves that turn deep red in the fall, rather than orange. We finally settled on adding purple to the mix to avoid the Christmas look. So, deep reds and purples, with pale green accents.

@corralynn: That's too funny- I'm getting married the same weekend and using very similar colors! I'm doing ivory, black, red, and purple.
I hate traditional fall colors too. We are doing black and white with hints of cobalt blue. I want a more classic feel. These are our bridesmaid dresses:

Spring wedding :)
Ivory, light grey and dusty mauve

and our suits are the same colour as these
My colors are gray with touches of midnight blue and peaches & ivory for the flowers!
My theme is old hollywood glam, so there will be lots of glitter and sparkle at my reception! :)
I am also getting married this November. I choose chocolate brown, ivory and gold. Its a very elegant looking color scheme.
My colors are ivory with touches of gold. We haven't decided on the color of the bridesmaid dresses yet but I'm thinking Navy blue, and for flowers I just want white with touches of natural greenery (and light pink for my bouquet). I wanted to stay away from the traditional fall colors as well.
I'm getting married in November, and had originally planned to go with charcoal grey and blush pink, but now this is my palate:

Mine are Grey, Yellow, Ivory, Beige, and a few touches of blush, not a focal color though.
@Mrs. Wallaby: Why have I never seen this website?? I have been struggling so much with my color scheme. Thank you for posting it!

Help! I am struggling with a color combination for my November wedding. i am not a fan of the traditional fall colors (burnt orange, yellow, etc.) and I am feeling like November is kind of an awkward month. Still technically fall, but has the potential to have winter weather. Any thoughts on a color pallete?
