Our wedding is November 8, 2014 and we sent out invitations a couple weeks ago, with an RSVP deadline of September 27th…I knew I would need time to track people down who didn’t RSVP to confirm if they were coming or not, and then to get the final headcount to our venue and caterer.  Also, I knew I’d need time to order the correct number of sparklers, place cards, programs, etc.  I’d make sure you know when your vendors need final headcounts/payments by and give yourself enough time to track down any RSVP stragglers!

That is good. depends on when you need your final head count by and pad time on there to hunt down those that didn’t respond.

I’m Nov 15 2014 (OMG SO CLOSE NOW) and set my RSVP for 3 weeks before (Oct 24). Invitations were sent out a few weeks ago and I’ve already gotten lots of responses.

Our wedding is October 17, and the RSVP date is September 19. We don’t have to give our venue numbers for meals/extras until 10 business days before… but I wanted to get this information now so I could work on escort cards and get them done.

We sent out invites out a month ago, which gave people a month and a week to RSVP.

We set our RSVP date 3 weeks before the wedding.  The reception venue needed a final headcount the Monday before, so that will give 2 weeks to track people down.  I don’t think you need more than a month!  Good luck!
