Roll Call!

How far along:  8+1

Team Green? Or finding out the gender ASAP? I want to know ASAP!!! and we’re ever so slightly rooting for team blue.

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: Just knowing that I can even BE pregnant. It just makes me feel so happy to be going through this really special thing.

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far: This stupid cough!!! and the fact that I can’t knock myself out with a bunch of drugs to help get rid of it faster.

What I miss: Super fresh sushi/sashimi and cold cut sandwiches.

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months: Finding out the gender and picking a name!

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy? RIght now, he’s been pretty calm about everything but I don’t think it’s actually hit him yet. We haven’t seen each other much since the BFP and I haven’t had too many symptoms so it’s all still a little surreal. I’m sure he’ll have a bigger reaction after the first u/s.

How far along:  9w6d!  2 weeks until the NT scan.

Team Green? Or finding out the gender ASAP?  I couldn’t imagine not knowing!!!  I want to know asap!

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: um…. nothing really – if I’m not feeling like crap, then I’m worried.  If I feel like crap, then I’m not in a good mood! ha ha!!  I was thinking the other day about the actual size of the baby and how fast he/she is growing (which is all crazy to think about).  At around 1/2 inch big (when I was at 7 weeks) the doctors were able to find a heartbeat!  how crazy is that?!?!?

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far:  Feeling tired all the time.  I would like energy!

What I miss:  The only think I’m missing out on is beer.

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months:  Continued good news with doctor appointments.  Also, getting a prego belly.  I’m tired of looking bloated and that I need to work out.

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy?  He is excited and just as anxious about the next appointment!

How far along:

8w+4 according to my GP, but we’re not entirely sure.

Team Green? Or finding out the gender ASAP?

Finding out ASAP! DH and I are going to start calling them by name amongst ourselves as soon as we know. We’ll share the sex with others, but try to keep the name to ourselves until the birth. In the meantime to us it’s just “baby”.

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far:

That I get a DS or DD at the end. Pregnancy’s rough on me, but I hear the 2nd tri is better. We’re almost at the homestretch to that! Oh, and the really detailed, vivid dreams I’ve been having are cool.

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far:

Keeping secrets from people. Not feeling well enough to leave the house or work like a normal person. Crying all the time about anything and everything.

What I miss:

Having a garbage can in the bathroom. It lives at my side now and its name is “my bucket”.

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months:

We’re moving!! Our current place is adults only and our lease is up in 6 or 7 weeks. My MIL is getting remarried in May, so we get to go to a really happy wedding. The new Arrested Development season is being released on Netflix right around that time too! And I have a few dance performances/competitions coming up over the next month, so I’m hoping my body will behave enough for that.

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy?

He’s a dream. I feel even more attracted to and in love with him during my pregnancy. He complained a little bit last night when I had cramps and specifically asked for cheese and apple slices. He was in the kitchen cutting himself a piece of pie and wanted to give me one of those because it was “way less work”. He felt bad about saying that when he was doing it and said it wasn’t that bad. I think he’s hilarious.

How far along:   8w today!

Team Green? Or finding out the gender  ASAP?  Team GREEN!

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: Having an excuse for being super lazy, and eating really random things, at random times. I loved the appointments so far and seeing our LO’s HB at our u/s… looking at baby things and thinking of a fun way to tell our families in a couple weeks!

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far: Nothing! I have been super lucky so far and feeling really good. πŸ™‚

What I miss: Wine! I have been craving icewine for days now.. maybe just because it’s super sweet?!

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months: Everything! Telling our families, getting our 12 week u/s, starting to see a more obvious bump…. πŸ™‚

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy? Amazing-  he’s been fantastic. Makes lots of our meals, cleans up and has been very patient. I think it’s starting to get real for him now that we had our u/s which is fun!

@traceyjoy:  Not alone at all! It was really depressing at the store I went to,  it was filled with blue/pink and had one crappy teeny tiny section (literally, about 4′ x 6′) of neutral stuff. Boring! Guess we’ll get to do a big shop once the LO arrives πŸ˜‰

Is anyone doing a pregnancy journal? If so, did you order one online? I am going back and forth, but kind of want to get one going. Thought it would be cool to look back on one day.  Any recommendations?

@mysticgrace:  Hi! Thanks for popping in πŸ˜‰ Congrats on being a Dec mama!

How far along:  9 weeks, 3 days

Team Green? Or finding out the gender ASAP?  Definitely finding the gender out ASAP! We can’t wait to know.

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: The excitement mainly! I love having something so major to look forward to. It’s so much fun to plan and daydream about what they will be like. πŸ™‚ I also love the thought that I am physically carrying our future child… Such an awe-inspiring duty!

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far: Mainly all the symptoms. It feels like I am on the verge of getting the flu 24/7! I’ve also had a really hard time concentrating on tasks. Hello pregnancy brain!

What I miss: The “off-limits” thing I’ve been craving MOST is a big frozen margarita, or daiquri, or pina colada… Really any fruity frozen alcoholic beverage. I’ve never been a HUGE fan of any of those, but since the weather is warming up it’s making me crave them! Ha!

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months: Finding out the gender, developing my baby bump (like PP said– NOT looking like I’ve just put on 10 lbs in my midsection), calling baby by name, decorating the nursery… and of course meeting him/her! Non-baby related things: our trip to the Virgin Islands this summer, summer vacation, (hopefully) getting a new baby-friendly car…There is really so much to look forward to. What an exciting season of life! πŸ™‚

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy? He’s been great! Some nights, when my emotions get the best of me, he can get a little frustrated.  But for the most part, he is really great (and protective!!). He is so excited about the baby. I think he’ll be such a great dad.

@traceyjoy:  Thanks for getting this started!

How far along:  8 weeks tomorrow!

Team Green? Or finding out the gender ASAP? We’ll be finding out. Both of us are way too impatient to wait that long!

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: Yesterday was my first appointment, so we saw the baby for the first time, and it was amazing. Also loving the excuse to take naps as needed. I just wish I could get away with taking a nap or two at work!

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far: Being hungry ALL of the time, with nothing really sounding good to eat.

What I miss: I haven’t really been missing anything, until this past weekend when my husband was grilling and we were sitting outside, and I thought how nice a glass of wine would be right then.

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months: Actually starting to show, being able to tell more people, and getting to buy tiny clothes!

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy? He’s been pretty laid back about it. He is a money man/planner, so mostly when he talks about it, it’s in terms of a budget and how much we should save each month leading up to the birth, etc. He was excited at the appointment yesterday, though, and I was so glad he was there with me.

So like I mentioned, my first appointment was yesterday. We didn’t get to hear the heartbeat, but we did see it, and the tech told us it was 169 bpm. I also told my mom the news yesterday, and her reaction was priceless. I was able to get it on video on my phone, and I’m so glad I did! We’re telling my husband’s parents and sister tonight, and I can’t wait to see their reactions, too.

How far along: 10 weeks tomorrow!

Team Green? Or finding out the gender ASAP? ASAP please. Ill be surprised whenever we find out and I really want to decorate a room the way I want.

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: Not really sure, cant say I love anything persay. I love how cute my DH is about the whole thing

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far: It was the MS, but that is progressively getting less and less.  Now its the bloated fat feeling

What I miss: Not much, I am not being overly cautious. If I want coffee, Ill have a single cup. If I want a med rare steak, Ill have it. I am surprised I am not really missing my wine, which is the only thing I have cut out 100%

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months: Actually its moving to FL and having time to get healthy. This first tri is so hard with MS and bad foods. Now that I am feeling better I can eat better foods and when I have time spend it walking and swimming.  And getting all the baby stuff ready!!!

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy? He is great and really cute. He has been so caring and loving and considerate of me. I cant wait to see him in action as a dad.

How far along:   7 weeks 3days

Team Green? Or finding out the gender  ASAP? finding out ASAP! I can’t wait. But honestly I just want a happy and healthy baby of either sex.

What I am totally loving about pregnancy so far: Nothing really at the moment I can say I love….for now I feel the same as before I was pregnant.

What I am NOT totally loving about pregnancy so far: Exhaustion! My new bed time is 9 everynight and usually an afternoon nap when I can get it.

What I miss: Coffee in the morning

What I’m the most excited about in the coming months: I’m most excited about our upcoming Dr appt and the first US. Can’t wait to see baby and hopefully hear the heartbeat.

How is DH/SO handling the pregnancy? DH is doing pretty good. He’s not an overly open person about things. He thinks a lot and keeps it to himself. He has however had a few times where he was excitedly talking about the baby and a few times he has made refrence to the future when baby is here. And he has been spoiling me lately doing all the cooking and dishes……..oh and right now he is loving that my boobs are bigger πŸ˜‰
