My dress is strapless and I’m doing my hair half up/ down. I like my hair curly so part of it will be pulled back into what will be a pile of curls, twists, knots, etc so it can hold my veil and then the rest will be down and curly.Kind of like this:

My dress is strapless.  I did half up/down for all my proms so I definitely wanted to do an updo for the wedding. I had to be careful with it though because I have a really long skinny face (I’ve been told I look like Sarah Jessica Parker before), so it had the potential to look to severe. That’s why I asked them to do chignon to the side, so you can still see hair on my face.

You could do something like that too? If you want an updo but feel like your hair is always pulled back, having your hair towards the side might be a nice alternative?

@chickiebee:  yea, so I was worried about that too, but it turns out it’s not an issue. My veil is not the greatest, its got a huge plastic comb on the back instead of a delicate metal one, but you can see there was no problem. They just sort of stick it in the back. (ps) sorry my photos are so big!

@lanipapillon:  I LOVE your hair. I know I want a loose, side swept updo as well! (I pinned your pic to my pinterest ideas hehe)

I plan on doing half up half down, really curly and teased at the crown…. I just can’t do the updos… They feel like prom hair to me.

This is how my hair turned out at my trial last week and I’m 100% happy with it.  I hate my long hair and wanted it up high off my face.

I’m actually doing a sideswept look. My dress has crossing straps in the back and I want to show those off:
