I have my first dress fitting on September 4th. Crazy me got 2 dresses though, so I have 2 sets of fittings to go through.

Since we are doing the destination thing, our invites already went out and everyone who is coming has already RSVPd.

I still have to order a cake and finalize a menu, and stop stressing about every little detail that I have no control over, lol. I feel like every time I think I am done, somethng else creeps up.

We’ve been focusing on one thing per week.  This week, it’s outfits.  FI just picked out tuxes for him and the groomsmen and me and my girls already have already have our dresses but I’m going to pick accessories and I have a fitting tomorrow!

After that, I need to work on the ceremony.  We still don’t have a ceremony musician!

@snd485:  Same thing with me!  New item every week so we aren’t burned out and stressed.

Invites were in the mail this past Saturday.  We booked our honeymoon last night!  Maui here we come 🙂  Next is printing ceremony programs and planning rehearsal dinner.

We’re at just over 60 days and I finally had my first Bridezilla moment.  We share a car and it broke down last week.  It has been in the shop since then and the shop still has no idea why it won’t start.  So with two months to go we are either in for some expensive repairs or having to buy another vehicle and of course there is no room in our budget for this s#it.

We have a tight budget as it is ($5K) and we have spent all of it.  There is literally nowhere to cut unless we kick everybody out after the ceremony and tell them to have a nice evening (even though our invites are out and they say “dinner to follow”.) Plus, we are budgeted on day-to-day expenses to the max; no cable TV, basic cell phone plans, minimal groceries, etc…  There is NOWHERE to find this money!

So I pretty much lost it last night.  Especially since my FI seems completely calm about a situation where we may not be able to feed our guests because I have to have a vehicle for work.  Argh!!!

I have a first dress fitting appointment on Monday and this weekend we have an appointment with the florist to see what our centrepieces will look like. FI is choosing suits for his ushers and we have to change his ring as he says he thinks it is to small (better to change it now than wait till after the wedding). We are waiting for RSVPs and we have to make our favours which will be time consuming. Oh and have a meeting at the church this weekend also so it’s going to hopefully be productive. I just feel like there is still so much to do and everything is going so quickly I can’t believe we are at the end of August already!

@drod:  Let’s see…. We need to buy the wedding bands, finalize music selection for ceremony, pick out cake, and find something for fiance to wear. No wedding party here so will be a little easier to worry about something just for him. I haven’t gotten a call about my dress being in, I’m assuming I will get it soon. I think they said alterations will start around 8 weeks, or it could’ve been 6, I don’t remember. Oh, and how can I forget, I need to order a veil. I am doing a Birdcage veil and I’m having trouble decking whether I want a flower attached to it or something else. Time is flying!!

I can’t believe how quickly it’s coming! I am 74 days out! I picked up my dress last week, and this week I got my shoes and accessories, bought both wedding bands and also ordered our cupcakes for the reception. Next week’s task will be deciding on favors! So excited, I bet time is really going to fly now.

We picked out my bands last week, so excited to eventualy wear them in 91 days! 🙂

This week we’ve been working on our stationery components, will hopefully be finalising and sending out invites this weekend.

Also going to book our honeymoon this weekend. otherwise we’re working on decorations and other details of the reception.

I’m over worrying and stressing about all sorts of details. if it happens, it does, and if it doesn’t, I couldn’t care. As long as we end up married I’m happy. Must say, I’m starting to reaaaally look forward to the honeymoon! 😀

We have 70 days left. I can’t believe it! And I think other than the very beginning when we were putting down deposits, this has been the most stressful time period.

We’re currently working on addressing invitations (I was crazy enough to want to do DIY calligraphy…. what was I thinking?) and finalizing our ceremony music selections. We still need to have final meetings with all our vendors. And my first dress fitting is in two weeks.

I feel like I’m forgetting something. Like time is crawling by so slowly and like the wedding is just around the corner and I have no time! All at once.

I think all we have left to do is order our favors and do the seating chart once all the invites come back in.  Everything else is pretty much set.  We just have to finish paying the vendors other than our Venue which is pretty much paid in full.
