Msgnetstreet is having a 25% off sale this weekend on their invites, since we ordered our stds from there figured we would order our invites from them as well. But since we are ordering them I started thinking about when we would be sending them out? When are you sending out yours???

I want all of my addressed and ready to go by the beginning of August, but we won’t put them in the mail until mid-August. We have many out of town guests so I wanted to allow a lot of time for them to get time off if they decided to join us 🙂

Our will be out in early or mid August as well! Our order will be placed next week and I am hoping to have a while to work on them.

Ok I was thinking August too! It will be here before we know it ladies!

I didn’t bother with STD – just gave verbal notifications to people. Also as we are having an overseas Destination Wedding I sent out the invites in February, so people can organise travel and time of work! 🙂

We sent out our Save-The-Date Cards in mid April, and we’ll have our invites out early September. But we’ve already purchased them haha.
We’re also only inviting about 60 people, so we don’t need a big chunk of time to wait for all the RSVPs.

Sheesh, really guys? I need to get cookin’ then! I wasn’t planning on sending ours out until October 1 for our November 17 wedding. Is that too late?

Wow I feel a little behind. I was thinking of sending mine out late September for our Thanksgiving weekend wedding. Should I send them out earlier? I just sent my STD’s two weeks ago, since our wedding is on a holiday weekend I figured I needed to give everyone a heads up.

I originally was planning on sending mine out early september but found out my venue wants an idea of numbers 4 weeks prior with the definites within 72 hours of the wedding. I am in another wedding the end of September so wont have time to chase invites so im thinking of sending them out in mid August now so I have a little extra time! oy never thought weddings were THIS much work! lol

Errrr… haven’t really decided yet. I already have them (stalked Michael’s for weeks to get them at 50% off), but haven’t designed any of the wording or inserts yet. I’m up in the air on whether we need Save-The-Date Cards. We have (percentage-wise) a lot of out-of-towners, but since it’s a small wedding with just those closest to us, they already know it’s coming up. I think the invites will go out early to mid-September.

I’m in the design stage of our invites still (I’m drawing/watercoloring them). I plan to have them printed in June and start putting them together in July sending them out in the first week of august. We’re havign a Destination Wedding in Vermont so I want to give people plenty of time- I also have an A list and B-list so I need time to be able to send out B list invites if possible. We also have to have our final head count the first week in October for our venue.

I designed them in April, put them together and made them in early May, and am handing them out over the rest of May and June, all will be handed out before the end of June. for my November 3rd wedding

@LizLemon: I would check with your venue…sometimes like @Leonard2B: said, venues make you turn in an idea count relatively early. Plus, you’ll probably have to allow some time to chase down the missing RSVP’s or if you have a “B” list, you’ll want to allow time to send and get their replies.
We’ll probably do early-mid August send out, and then they are due back Oct. 2nd for the Nov. 3rd wedding. But, that’s when our block of room cancels so I wanted to keep it the same for simplicity reasons. We may also invite a few more people depending on how the RSVP’s come back. 🙂
