This is awesome site, I've been having trouble figuring out my palette --- I am definitely doing a darker purple for girls dresses. And think will do light purple and gold to accent as well.
All metalics might look too cold, i.e. wintery. I think that eggplant shades might work as good accents...or deep, deep reds. You might want to look at the colors found in Indian spices and in Indian designs...they use a ton of gold (and mix it with silver), and it looks great!
I am a November bride, and I am not doing traditional fall colors. You have to do what you like, regardless of season sometimes. To me November is in the middle of a fall look and could be the beginning of an early winter look if you decide. I chose November because I live in NY and am doing a traditional ballroom wedding. I wanted a warm, candle lit, feeling in the room. On a hot summer day, it just doesn't work, even with AC. November is a time when people start feeling cozy and want to prepare for holidays etc. This is my inspiration board:

Hey Ladies! this is my first post! Soo happy to see this November 2012 bride support system- it's soo helpful to read everyone's posts. I have been super torn with my wedding colors. I like a few others don't want the typical fall colors ( which is weird because I'm from Boston) but rather am looking to do my wedding in all metalics. I'm getting married in a ballroom with a lot of gold accents so I was thinking silver and gold and bronze. I want the night to shimmer. The hardest part is finding BM dresses to match the color scheme. Is a metallic inspired wedding too winter? WE are getting married 11/11/12
