    Sperm and Egg First Date

    I love this cartoon.  Not sure about anyone else, but I like to think my egg prefers to be courted first.  After all, she is a lady!

    @MrsJuneBee:  Love those boots!! We have Belk's here where we live.

    And I know! Actually my doctor last night asked me how it was going and I told him it's starting to be irregular. He said that's not what he wanted to hear. So IDK. Everything with me is backwards!! I swear! Sigh.

    @MrsEagleEye:  Thanks for starting the new thread. Hopefully it brings us more BFP's!

    @MrsGrayIndy:  funny but true :(

    To answer a question on the last thread, I believe I am 2DPO.  My stupid FF is not working for me, it's saying I haven't OD yet (I don't use OPKs) but I can tell that I have. I'm like clockwork. AF is due next Thurs, but I'm hoping she never arrives.

    @ChuckNorris:  I'm so bummed for you.  I'm sorry.  Ugh.  Have a big glass of wine (or 2...or 10) tonight.

    @Yellow.Clover: YAY, I really hope there's some egg action happening in there today! If only Wilson Phillips had a good song for this...

    @MrsPuddingface: BAHAHA I just saw you're post about your jeans. Is it bad that it's 9:39am and I haven't had a meal yet and I want to unbutton my jeans? I mean, hypthetically, of course.

    @MrsHovzilla: & @MrsPuddingface: I'm old, too! 31 this past summer...August baby here. If I got preggers this month, baby would be due on my bday. Not that I've checked or anything...

    @figgnewton: Welcome!  Hope the second is as easy as the first was for you. BTW my sister has a condom baby too.  She was definitely meant to be!  :)

    @Yellow.Clover:  Thank you!!! I was looking for "different boots" and I am trying to be a little more girly girl, but not compromise myself at the same time! I tend to be a tomboy :)

    So you need to do things that are not recommended for TTCing :) Time to drink alcohol, and caffenated drinks, hop in hot tubs, etc....That totally sucks, it really does, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you that :) I thought I saw you say something about you wished he used needles, what else can you use?

    Also cross-post....

    So question for those how use Royal Jelly and Pre-Seed, Yes Baby, or Conceive Plus...

    What for do you take Royal Jelly in? I am looking at what JJ Holler took, is that the best?

    Also, is Yes Baby the same as Conceive Plus? When I look for Yes Baby on Amazon, it shows Conceive Plus. Also, any + or -'s to these or Pre-seed? Pre-Seed I can get at the store, the others it looks like I would have to buy online.

    ETA: I see that Yes Baby and Conceive Plus are actually different, Amazon doesn't carry Yes Baby!

    @Lyndzo:  If you think you are 2DPO, FF won't give you cross hairs to say you O'd until it sees 3 consecutive temperatures in the higher range.  So perhaps after you enter tomorrow's temp it will agree that you are then 3DPO like you think.  I think I may be 2DPO today as well as I have had two high temps so far but I am waiting to see if tomorrow's temp is still high to confirm it.

    @MrsGrayIndy:  That makes me feel better. I've noticed that FF is off. I'm starting to think I may just use it to enter my CM and any effects I'm feeling. I should stop paying attention to the chart, it's getting me paranoid.

    @MrsEagleEye:  That is a good point. Thanks!

    I have to say DH is making things easy with BD. We both have high drives so it's easy. Yesterday I came home and was barely in the door and he was all over me. Then again before bed. He sure picked the right days to do it LOL

    @MrsJuneBee:  He uses electro stimulation.

    I just googled it and it looks as if there's others who say acupunture has delayed their O's as well. Why me!?? Of course I do something that I think is good and it back fires! Womp womp. Oh well. As I said Yesterday, it's happening for a reason. Just sucks because we move in with my parents THIS.WEEKEND! BD'ing is going to be sooo difficult!

    I'm not sure about the Royal Jelly, but I think you can get it in a pill form. To me that sounds the easiest. I have not tried yes baby, only pre-seed and TBH I think I'm about done with that stuff too! Def makes BD'ing less enjoyable for both of us.

    @MrsJuneBee:  I bought Conceive Plus.  Not sure if it is the same as Yes baby or not.  I haven't tried Preeseed but I did a comparison on Amazon reviews before buying and Conceive Plus was said to be less sticky so I went with it.  I have only used it once so far but I like it.  It wasn't sticky at all and felt very similar to KY to me. DH seemed to enjoy it too.  I have seen a lot of bees have reactions to the preeseed so I am glad I didn't try it.

    @Lyndzo:  Haha, this reminds me of a study I read once.  Apparently some researchers think men find women who are approaching or currently ovulating to be more attractive.  Kind of like how some animals have fluffier feathers or what not when they are fertile to attract mates.  They tested women and it seemed that we may also have subtle changes our male counterparts can pick up on.  Perhaps your DH is just responding to your signals!  I'd google to find the link but I'm at work and I remember one way they tested was to see how many tips strippers made when they were ovulating versus not.  Don't think I should google that at work :P

    @Yellow.Clover:  I heard pill form is fine, but not as quick or potent. I'm not even sure :) Well if the lubricant isn't working for you, maybe it's just a waste of time...I hate decisions :)

    @MrsEagleEye:  I have heard more negative about Preseed as well! Thanks for your recommendation! Did you buy applicators with it?

    Question for you ladies - does TTC ever affect your DH's performance?  In generaly, DH sometimes has issues if he drinks heavily or if he's super exhausted, so once every few months, he won't be able to, ahem, finish.  Well, last month that happened the day before I O'd, and we spent most of the night trying to get there, and we couldn't.  Internally, I was freaking out because I knew how important that day was, but I never led on to him because I didn't want him to feel worse than he already did.

    Then I got home last night after being gone for 5 days, I waited for him in lingerie (!) and it happened again.  I had EWCM yesterday, which I haven't had in 2 months, so once again, in my head, I'm like, "COME ON, ALREADY!!!!!!"  BUT, I again acted like it wasn't a big deal because I think that makes things worse.  He told me last night that it's all in his head at this point and that he's mentally freaked himself out since he failed when it was prime time last month, so now he pressures himself and was thinking all day yesterday how he can't screw up tonight and then he wasn't able to because he'd been worrying about it all day.  I told him to stop worrying about it and that I don't care, it happens to everyone AND it's completely explanable when it does happen....but this mental BS that's now causing it is silly.  He said he knows all that but he can't get out of his own head and he feels like he's dropping the ball on TTC because he's not doing his part.  He asked me afterwards last night where in my cycle I was, and I told him I wasn't going to tell him - I said that I'm trying to be more laid back going forward (see my previous posts from earlier this week), and that also means with talking about it with him, and we're going to do it when we do it.  I may jump him more during the O week but I'm not going to be like, "TODAY IS THE DAY!!!  DOOOOO IT!!"  Anyway, we actually were able to get things going last night later, which funnily was after I took off the lingerie and I was laying around in sweatpants eating chips and salsa.  Who knew that would do the trick? Ha.

    Sorry for the super long post - just needed to get this off my chest and don't want to talk to anyone IRL about it.

    @hardtoconcentrate:  So sorry!!! This is why I keep DH out of the loop, I think he can tell though because I initiate it much more in my fertile window. He is much more relaxed about the process and it isn't a big deal to him either way. I wish I could be more like him :)

    I wonder if he knew, since you were in lingerie? I also think that once someone has trouble (even once), it's in the back of their mind and that's all they need to spook themself again.

    I am trying to do the same things in my fertile window as I do in the TWW, trying to keep it fun, normal and not just about babymaking. This probably won't work for anyone, but maybe something to try? I know I can be better about :)

And yes, he does have issues, but it only seems like it's at O time. Other than that, no problems. It's like our bodies are fighting with each other! haha.

    Good morning Bees. @MrsEagleEye:  Thanks for starting part 5!

    Well, it's official. I am out for this month. AF showed this morning. Why does it still hurt so much even though I knew this was coming? I feel so discouraged :-(

    Good luck to all of you still in the running for BFPs this month. I'll continue to check-in for updates. I'm off to Decemeber and the 6 months + club :(((((

    @Yellow.Clover:  I cannot tell you how much better that made me feel - THANK YOU!  I hadn't worn lingerie for him in years....so I was surprised that things went the way they did.  Glad to know I'm not the only one who has experienced this.  And why always at O time!?!!?  I think in our case that he realizes it's O time because of my initiating more and that subconsciously freaks him out about performing, even if I'm not pushing it down his throat...maybe?  Argh.

    @MrsJuneBee:  Yep, that's what he said - that because it happened once last month, he's now got it in the back of his mind.  I told him to stop with the mental stuff but I guess it's not that easy.

    @MrsJ19:  Thank you. :)

    @CircleFace:  Sorry about AF...but you have a great attitude about it! :)

    @MrsMoksha:  Bummer.  I'm sorry. :(

    AFM, looks like I'm going to POAS in November again after all.  I wanted to be more relaxed this month and wait until AF was officially late, and AF isn't due until Dec 3.  BUT, we're supposed to do a bar crawl on Dec 1st.  With it being that close to AF being due, I think I'll test just to be sure beforehand.  I don't think I'd feel right drinking a good amount knowing that I might be PG and could know by just POAS.  I think that's the right call but it could be my POAS obsession shining through...

    @MrsMoksha:  Oh no. Sorry about AF and 6+ : (

    @hardtoconcentrate:  Good, glad I could help! : )  I WISH I knew why it only happens at O time. And I agree, I think it's the same in our case as well. I guess he just felt it as he never comes home to his wife in the bedroom ready to go with lingerie on! HAHA.  Funny thing is, I'm not O'ing, but totally thought Yesterday was the day. Ha! So my body just totally fooled the both of us!

    Good luck to you again this month!! Woo hoo! I just hope I get to POAS once in Nov. HAHA.

    @MrsEagleEye:  Thanks for starting the thread, love the cartoon!

    @MrsGrayIndy:  It's so true and so annoying :(

    @MrsJuneBee:  I can't recommend Yes Baby highly enough!  I ordered it directly from the UK manufacturer and it came within a week.  It's a good product and it prevented the yeast infections that Pre-seed was causing me.

    @CircleFace:  Sorry about AF.  I'm sure mine is coming on Sunday.

    @MrsMoksha:  Sorry about AF.  I'll probably see you in December.  GL!

    @hardtoconcentrate:  I did that to myself this cycle because I wanted to have a drink with no guilt.  Testing on Nov. 30th is much more reasonable than when I tested 8 days before my period is due!  FX for you.

    Holy cow we've almost filled up the first page!

    ETA:  I almost forgot, I went out to buy yarn for my scarf last night...and now I have 1/4 of a scarf done!  Let's just say I had some nervous energy to get out.  I also swore off POASing for the rest of my cycle unless AF doesn't show up.  I'm coming to terms with being out this month.

    when we were on that last page of pt 4 i was going to say.. oh man... were going to need a 5 soon! we are on the ball! such supportive chatty cathys!

    @MrsGrayIndy:  hello teen mom show. its true!

    @Yellow.Clover:  & @MrsJuneBee:  preseed made BDing less enjoyable for us too. i was really excited about it and it was a worth a shot, but i was semi let down.

    my nipples are chaffing. and i had my 2nd beta this morning. currently waiting for the results to come in.

    ALSO. ive outgrown my bras. and outgrown victoria secret. i am officially no longer a DD and cant wear pretty bras. im only 5'2! DH & i met (separately) with our wedding videographers yesterday afternoon to pick up our video! {i posted it!} and when he came home about a half hour after me he goes "OMG. YOUR BOOBS. the left just keeps showing!" i was wearing a v neck tunic type shirt and i swear it wasnt this way two weeks ago!

    only nov 15th. fingers crossed for the last half of this month hoping it to be as lucky as the first! and the rest of 2012! xxo ladies!

    @hardtoconcentrate:  My DH has the same issue! I feel so bad for him. I've been trying to play it cool as well. We've also discovered that, contrary to what he told me initially, he really can't be brought into the loop on ovulation times, etc. Which, since he's pretty much the only person I can talk to about this stuff IRL, makes me sad. So, it's all the better to have a community like this!
