Today is officially CD1, AF finally showed! Who wants to join me in November? I’m stocked up on Wondfo OPKs and HPTs and I ordered some Yes Baby lubricant to try this cycle.
I’m excited and optimistic for this next cycle. I’m hoping that I can relax a little bit during this cycle. I really hope this is our month! It would be so great to have a chance to announce a pregnancy to my family in person when we visit for Christmas 🙂
Current Cycle Day: CD1
Ovulation Date: Nov. 1-3. I normally ovulate on CD 12-14.
POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: Nov. 18-20. My cycles are usually 28 days, but last cycle was 30 days.
Cycles trying: This will be our 3rd.
BD timing: I’m planning to try every day this cycle, from the first day of EWCM through til O is confirmed.

Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Stuffing! It’s probably because I love bread so much. I’ve never been big on the turkey. DH doesn’t eat meat anyway, so I’ll probably make fish for Thanksgiving dinner.
How is everyone else doing?

I lurked last month, but I am joining this month. I will see if I can keep up with you ladies, this board moves fast!
Current Cycle Day: CD2
Ovulation Date: Nov. 2-4. This month I normally ovulate around CD14-15.
POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: Nov. 16-19. My cycles are 28-29 days OR 30-36 days. This month is usually the 28-29.
Cycles trying: This will be our 6th, holy cow can’t believe it is already 6!
BD timing: My acupunturists wants us to use the ‘strong arm’ method for a 2-3 days before EWCM arrives and then daily 🙂
Link to Chart: N/A for me.
Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Apple pie, my mom’s recipe!
Question for the ladies who chart. When do you take your temperature? My biggest issue with this is trying to remember to do it right when I wake up and before I get out of bed. Do other times of day work well?
@MellowMood: Welcome and good luck to you!
The only way to get an accurate BBT that I know of is to take it right after waking at the same time every day. It’s important not to move around too much, just reach for the thermometer right away.
I’ll be honest, it took a few months to get in the habit, but now I’ve been charting for over a year and it’s like second nature. The only problem I have is sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and have to pee. Usually it doesn’t affect the temp to much as long as it’s a few hours before I get up and I go right back to sleep.
I know some of the other bees actually set their alarms for early in the morning and just go back to sleep after temping. I do this on the weekend when I want to sleep past my weekday wake up time of 6 am.
I higly recommend BBT charting. I used it for months before TTC to get to know my cycles and avoid pregnancy without hormonal birth control. It helps me confirm O date after I get a positive OPK. It helped me to know that I wasn’t pregnant this cycle, even though my period came a day late. Have you read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility?

I’m back. I’ve been keeping track of y’all from the sidelines. I’m hoping this your month. I’m not really sure where I am in my cycle. Some have said you count the first day of your MC.. I will go by that. Honestly though my body seems out of it, so I’m flying blind this cycle. I’m hoping my Dr knows what he is talking about by saying it is ok to try right away. I’m worried that I would MC again if I got pregnant so soon. Any bees have any opinions on this?
Current Cycle Day: CD15
Ovulation Date: I had another bout of EWCM yesterday. But again not sure if I am o’ing this soon.
POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: Nov. 4th if AF hasn’t come yet. 28 or 27 days.
Cycles trying: This is our first after MC. I’m going the NTNT route for a few months.
BD timing: Normally every other day. This month whenever.
Link to Chart: I’ve never charted. I did order all the stuff in September to do it, but then got my BFP.
Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Homemade rolls. And pumpkin pie!

@Macintosh: Thanks for starting this up. Let me know how you like the lube. I ordered pre seed and never used it as I got pg,. but I’ve heard some people say it caused a yeast infection and I’m super sensitive to anything in that area. So I’m holding off for now.

@MellowMood: GL to you. How do you like the acupuncture ? And how long have you been doing it? I have a good friend that I would love to recommend this to. Does insurance cover it?

- Wedding: November 2007 - Radisson Hotel
Current Cycle Day: CD24
Ovulation Date: Nov. 9, probably, if I go from the norm.
POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: Nov. 21. I’m usually at 28/29 day cycles, but this cycle began with a miscarriage, so I don’t know what to expect.
Cycles trying: Technically this is our… 9th? When this cycle ends it’ll be our 10th. I think? I got pregnant on my 8th cycle, the bleeding that ended it began my 9th cycle.
BD timing: Husband has low drive, so we try to get in at least one time two nights before O.

Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Stuffing!!
I’m really anxious to get end this cycle. My OB told me to take this month off because you’re more prone to repeat m/c if you get pregnant right after another miscarriage. It’s strange to not try after we’ve been trying for such a long time (to me).

@MellowMood: I’ve been temping foreveeer (used as bc before we started trying), and you MUST take it the moment you wake up. No movement, no talking, no drinking. It relies on your temperature at rest. You must also take it after a minimum of 3 solid hours of sleep, otherwise they’ll get all wonky. Technically, if you have a night job and you always sleep from like, 5am-1pm, then you would take it at 1pm when you wake. It’s pretty much the temp you take when you wake from slumber, as long as it’s min 3 hours.

Current Cycle Day: CD3
Ovulation Date: I’m not sure! Around the end of October, early Nov. I bought Ovulation tests to be sure!
POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: November 16th if all goes well.
Cycles Trying: 4
BD timing: Every other night this time, and every day during my most fertile days.
Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Candied Yams!

@Macintosh: Thanks for the info, that is what I thought. I have been on and off trying to do it, but not very well. Both my doctor and my acupunturist said not to worry myself with it as CM + OPKs were just as good. I am still trying to do it, I am just not making it an additional stress factor.
@LuluH: I started acupuncture for stress relief with TTC, and I am seeing a fertility acupuncturist my doc recommended. I have just been going 2 weeks now, but I am already seeing changes. My cycle last month should have been 36 days or so and AF arrived on day 31 (he told me to expect this). It is more than just acupuncture though, I am changing my diet a bit and taking herbal supplements as well. I am a healthy person, but by no means a health nut so this is new territory for me. I really like the idea of working to get pregnant naturally for a few more months before we see the doc about anything else that might be going on.
I am trying to get insurance to cover it – he is going to work with me for a few weeks first to find out what we are treating in order to work on the fertilty. They won’t cover acupunture for fertility but they might cover acupunture for treating my reynauds (circulation problem), which treating will help increase blood flow to my uterus and help fertility. Does that make sense? FX they will cover some it but the stress relief is worth the cost either way for me!

GL ladies!! If AF ever comes, I’ll be joining you all. If not, I’ll still be cheering you ladies on from the sidelines. 🙂

@Macintosh: Oh and I haven’t read taking charge of your fertility yet, but I have requested it and I am waiting for it to come in to my libary. My husband is a librarian so I have a read a lot of other books on the subject. Poor guy keeps having to lug pregnacy books home from work – he brought me The impatient woman’s guide to getting pregnant yesterday 🙂

I’m in! I was trying to decide if I should test the last day of October or first day of November. I’ve never taken a pregnancy test and I’m trying to tip my odds in my favor of getting a positive on my first test, and the only way I have a shot is if I wait until I’m late. So I’m going to test at the beg of November. And since my cycle is so ridiculously short, if my period comes I have another potential POAS in November, so 2 AF cycles due start in November.
Current Cycle Day: CD13 (our 1 month anniversary)
Ovulation Date: Got my positive OPK this morning, so probably tomorrow, CD14, October 22nd. Possibly Oct 23rd. If I don’t get pregnant this cycle, I will probably ovulate again November 15th.
POAS date/Usual Cycle Length: My usual cycle length is 24 days. This cycle, test Nov 2nd (11DPO, my average luteal phase is just 9 or 10 days) if AF hasn’t come. If not pregnant this cycle, I could test again for the following cycle 24 days later, Nov 26th.
Cycles trying: Currently 2nd. Mid-November ovulation will be the 3rd
BD timing: Something like every other day in the fertile window, which is like CD11-CD15. Maybe two days in a row after positive opk

Favorite Thanksgiving Food: Sweet potato pie. I do like moist stuffing, too. I’m normally not a fan of bready things because I find them too dry, but I like the moist stuffing.

@LuluH: Welcome back. I was sorry to hear about your MC. I hope you get your sticky baby very soon.
I used Pre-Seed for 2 cycles and I got yeast infections within days of O both times. The reason I went for Yes Baby is because they have 2 formulas in one package to help balance PH. Here’s the website that explains how it works: https://www.yesyesyes.org/yesbaby.htm
@Mrs. Kiwi: I’m sorry about your MC and I hope you’re feeling better.
My Darling Husband has a low drive too. Our normal frequency is once a week, so when we BD 3 or 4 times in one week around O time it seems like we used up all our sexy times for the month 🙁
Hooray for stuffing!
@Mrs.Sunflower: Glad you’re back. Baby dust to you in November!

@MellowMood: My husband is a librarian too! i have that book too, it’s hilarious.
