Have you listened to Arrival of the Queen of Sheba by Handel? It isn’t too grandiose I don’t think, but it’s cheerful and bubbles along beautifully (probably using that as my processional).

Shake it up a bit and do Radetsky March.

But seriously, Canon is lovely and fitting for the occasion.

I’m walking down the aisle to Jesu Man of Joy’s desiring, and our recessional song to leave the church is Queen of Sheba 🙂

We’ve then got a really nice chilled piece for when we’re siging the registers.

Honestly, I like Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring better.  Also Trumpet Voluntary by Clark (I think) is also amazing.

Rose214:  I second PP’s suggestion of Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, that’s really jolly.

I’m going in to ‘Autumn’ (because dammit we’ve got a theme and we’re sticking to it), but Spring or Summer for the 4 Seasons could also be nice (I’m not super familiar with Winter).

I’ve also always been fond of Beethovens 6th Symphony, the Pastoral Symphony. It’s quite lovely.

Kellym84:  Our recession is the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba too, which my organist finds hilarious since we’re leaving, not arriving.

Thought of a couple of less traditional but still beautiful ones – look up Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni, or the Entr’acte from Carmen by Bizet. Both gorgeous!

We walked in to Highland Cathedral, and our mothers walked in to Bach’s “Sheep May Safely Graze” which was a runner up!
